I am back to this site after a long time. I think it has been 1 year. I thought I had control of my addiction, so I left this awesome platform, but only to discover that I still need to kill the deamon inside me that is eating me up from inside. I can't live like this anymore.
I have to change my lifestyle. I am 23 and still without a gf, because I was always too content in porn and after masturbation, I had little energy left to even try something. To make things worse, I am also a shy person.
In the past I have noticed that once I leave PMO for a week or so, things start to change for me. I become more confident and look people in their eyes and smile too. :)
Hoping to take that to next step by abstaining from anything sexual for 90 days.
I am open to suggestions from you guys out there. Also, the support by you all goes a long way.
Good Luck to you all..Hope you succeed in this battle with yourself.

Good luck man! Starting over is tough but it beats the hell out of the alternative :)

Thanks Odd Thomas and heretolearn and good luck to you too. It really means a lot to me.
Well, this is the end of day two and things are looking quite well. I am not having the urge to watch porn or masturbate because I know it is harmful for me.
Also, I started working out in the gym, so that also helps me to spend my energy in the right direction. I still regret not going to the gym during college, but I can't change the past. I can only control the future, and I promise to myself, that I will be regular this time. My current weight is 64 kg and my target weight is 75 kg. Hoping to reach that goal in few months.
The effect of nofap that I have observed in the past are really great. I feel less conscious of my thin body in public. I really start to listen and participate in the conversations. I also notice other women which I would have thought are less attractive while addicted to porn. It is a new feeling and I am looking forward to that feeling as I go on and on, on my nofap journey.

This is the fourth day of my nofap. I am feeling much better now. I went to the gym today also. I will rest tomorrow. It is really important to let the body grow after workout and hence I need to rest.
In my opinion, the best way to do nofap is to fill your idle time with activities that one likes to do but which you always sidelined due to fapping.
That will keep you distracted and the major advantage is as follows. Earlier you used to prioritize PMO over other activities like exercise, writing, painting or whatever. Now, when you are actually doing those things and you choose to not do PMO, you are slowly training your mind, to avoid PMO. That is what this whole reboot is all about. When one follows this routine for a long time, say 90 days, things start to become easier. Then, your mind has almost forgotten the pleasure that you used to get by PMO because you are getting a similar but healthy pleasure by living your life without PMO, and getting better at writing, painting or whatever.
So, for now I will continue avoiding PMO and all fantasies, and will continue reading books, writing, coding and working out.
    Peace

I think we call that a "window" or a "profitable start". It is beautiful when you start working and obstacles melt away. It will be wonderful if things can continue very smoothly for you, but don't expect it!

Still we have to enjoy the good days where everything makes sense! Very happy to hear about your strong start.
