hi guys, you don't understand how much i want to PMO. I Feel like when i'm studying and trying to read over material, i become bored and repeatedly think of looking at porn again. the urges are so hard to ignore now, especially because i have friends that also pmo and they tell me that they frequently do it(one said that after a test we wrote today he is gonna PMO) i know for me its a problem, but when i look at my friends who i believe have a hang on this addiction i believe that i could handle this addiction also but deep down i know inside that i need to try and reboot so i can live a normal life again.

Don’t do it bro , everybody is different and you know yourself better than anyone. You wouldn’t be here if pmo hasn’t damaged you. Remember the benefits you will have, a better life , more confidence , smiling more, stronger more energy better posture. Better decision making. And most of all you can wake up in the morning and have that halo over you head. That feeling of peace in your heart and the look of purity in your eyes. It’s not worth bro , you are strong you can do it. Become the strongest version of yourself

yeah i know the benefits will be so helpful and gratifying to achieve and have but it feels like its miles away from where i am now and it would be better if i stay pmo-ing tbh however with what you've told me, i will continue fighting this addiction because its the best thing for me

  4. If you don't stop you can develop all kinds of physical problems that many people on this board report having, such as erectile dysfunction, loss of penis sensation and inability to ejaculate (or over sensitivity and premature ejaculation), pelvic/abdominal/genital pain, fatigue, depression, etc.

If you don't already have these count yourself lucky and continue refraining from PMO now before they inevitably occur.

Great effort on 6 Days, if your counter is right!

I recommend putting adult blocking software on your computer and restrictions on your phone.

I can understand your urges. In these days I'm also not able to control my urges. Today, almost going to give up on porn but not. Somany Triggers ( 9 to 12) fired up today. But for each trigger, i have tried all the ways to deviate, read motivational articles. But after some time again urges has fired up, comming urge was so strong than previous. What I'm going to say is, it's so hard. But Do anything to deviate the pmo force to some other habit. Don't stop the urges just deviate it. If we practice like that then we can manage the urges in future.
Try to understand, there is huge difference between STOP and DEVIATE. If you stop then next comming urge is more powerful than previous.

Thank you guys, your advice has assisted me and i was able to ignore and deviate from the urges and focus on something completely different. have you relapsed if you typed the porn url in the web address and tapped enter but before seeing any pics, you click exit on the tab?

    What's going on everybody??
I hope everyone is fighting pmo!

I'm on day 21 and I have to tell you that I want to pmo too and the past 3 days have just been nerve racking for me.
First I want to watch porn but I fight that urge, then I start fantasizing about having sex but I block those thoughts and then I want to just go and jack off because of my flatline.
Now my flatline isn't really a flatline I guess because I do get my morning wood which is obviously an awesome sign so no e.d. but I do feel that I'm not focused too much and I get distracted, not having super high energy and do get irritated too and I just want to go jack off and I thinks it's probably just the dopamine withdrawal, I'm not too sure.
I started nofap with alot of enthusiasm and I'm proud of myself for completing 20 days but I'm not too sure about the benefits.
Initially I felt awesome but now not that much which is why I say this again that it might just be the dopamine levels coming back to normal.
I know you can get distracted and want to given to your urge of pmo but the one thing that has kept me going is the fact that I feel like shit after it even worse than how I feel about the fact that I'm distracted, and irritated.
So my advice is that think about how bad are you going to feel after pmo-ing and is it really worth it. I'm sure your answer will be no and it might make it a little easier for you to refrain from it.

There's an addiction-beating technique that focuses on upping your willpower levels which is similar in idea- it's essentially a ten minutes rule: Whenever you have urges, but find that saying "No" to yourself feels like acid is burning you from inside (or whatever horrible feeling you have), don't say "No", say: "Yes, but in ten more minutes" - actually say this quietly, or out loud (don't just think this). This will help you keep put for ten minutes. Before that time is up, reaffirm your commitment to your addiction-beating goal, remind yourself how much better your life will be after beating your addiction, remind yourself how horrible you feel after PMOing, etc. If you can, put some distance between you and your computer/phone, at least until the urge passes.
