    Hi,

    Male, 37 years-old. Member of the now-defunct pornaddictioninfo's community.

Have been struggling with porn addition (and, of course, the associated masturbation habit - sometimes the very trigger to pull me back into porn) and managed to beat it (maintaining years-long clean streaks).

At the end of 2017 found myself hit out of the blue with a "no-fault" divorce ("It's not you, it's me."). Lost my wife, finances and health. Had nothing to do with the aforementioned habits that I had under complete control.

Started using porn again afterwards for a short period; however, it didn't grab me like it did in the past. I was, at worst, a "casual user". However, as we all know, any amount of porn is too much porn.

For the past two weeks, found myself relapsing again and again. The good news: this is a cycle that ends here.

My first goal is to get a 6-month PMO-free streak, and, going from there, never use my sexuality in any other way than what is consistent with my beliefs. This is just a step in rebuilding my life.

I've done it in the past, I'll do it again. It's already in the bag.

Heading to write my first journal entry.

Thank you very much, I appreciate your virtual friendly handshake. Already posted my first journal entry (but cannot post a link yet - it's in the 30-37 section).

(Had to edit out your links - otherwise I couldn't reply.)

(Btw - it anyone from "pornaddictioninfo" found refuge here, would like to get in touch via PMs.)
