    Hello everyone,
I thought it would be a good idea to share with you my story with fapping and the detrimental effects of it (in my experience).

I started fapping when I was like 13 or 14 years old, basically since I hit puberty. It was a new thing to me and it was very enjoyable. I felt like I was experiencing the best time of my life. Orgasm was the only fun part in my life at that time. I had no friends, was struggling with my studies and family problems. The "friends" I had at that time were never supportive, they were enemies. I discovered porn first using social media networks (Facebook mainly) and then switched to other websites. The worse thing about it is that as soon as I started masturbating, my life changed to the worst. My performance at school became very bad and my parents were always angry at me. That's why I kept masturbating because it was as I said the only pleasurable moment in my life at that time. After that I kept doing it, done all the stuff you could imagine doing to pleasure yourself from edging to using fleshlights... . After 6 or 7 years now, here I am regretting every single thing I did. And I was very unlucky to not discover nofap at that time, it would've saved me. I have developed a bilateral varicocele (don't know if it's because of pmo but yeah), I have urethera problems, probably some prostate inflammation or enlargement too and reduced eyesight. I'm also skinny and can't gain muscle mass which I think is due to low testosterone. I can support everything but the varicocele, it's very uncomfortable having it.

I thought if I shared my story in this community at least it would help some people and make them think twice before masturbating. Trust me this thing will ruin your life.

Everyday I regret doing it and I wish someone told me that it would affect my general health this bad. I continued doing it because I thought, well everyone does it, if it was that bad everyone would've been sick and unhealthy. Let me tell you, you do not know about people's lifes, and you would never know what they're hiding. Masturbation may be affecting them but they wouldn't share it with people because it's not something everyone would love to talk about. But now, thankfully there's NoFap and a lot of info on the internet and experiences of people with this. I wish I knew about this earlier like fr.

The good thing is that I'm never doing it again. I'm aiming for a life without PMO. Im now past my 30day mark and I feel better than when I was fapping. Life is enjoyable without orgasms. People today are sick, everyone thinks about sex and masturbation only, and I think it's because of the amount of porn produced now and how the porn industry expanded and became bigger than ever. You WILL enjoy life without masturbation or orgasms, and trust me you will live an amazing life if you don't focus on sexual things a lot. Life is maybe not worth living but it's worth a try. Wish this will help someone someday.

According to the Mayo Clinic, “Varicoceles often form during puberty. Varicoceles usually occur on the left side, most likely because of the position of the left testicular vein.“ Unless you did something like tie off your balls, which I’ve noticed some guys do during sex or masturbation, I’m guessing your condition probably isn’t connected to masturbation.

Poor eyesight from masturbation is just nonsense, something they tell kids to discourage them from touching themselves.

Do you know for sure that you have an enlarged prostate? I don’t know much about that, but what I do know is that most medical conditions have multiple potential causes, which goes for low testosterone as well. Also, there’s a genetic limit to how much muscle people can pack on. Some people have higher limits than others.

  3. If you feel like you can't gain any muscle i recomend watching Athlean x on Youtube or Jeff Nippard. They helped me gain some mass over some months. What i would recommend is to focus for 3 months on your deadlift, squat and bench and in eating more that you usually do.

That aside, thank you for sharing your history. It really helped :)

I was myself a quite moderate PMO-addict for 14-15 years (from age 13-28 essentially) but finally managed to get out of it during 2017/18 and when I stopped fapping almost 2 1/2 years ago, my life really took off fast, and so did my T-levels actually. With higher (and more normal) T-levels, your mood and mental health will improve greatly (for sure).
My best advice to you would be to change your bad habits in daily life, little by little, one at a time, one day at a time and adapt better ones in its place. Otherwise, the big changes, goals and challenges you set up for yourself will be too overwhelming and it will reduce your motivation to continue them.

As far as your T-levels go, have you looked at your current diet?
If it is a SAD or SWD (Standard American/Western Diet) it might explain why you don't get any nutrients in your body and can't build any muscles. If you happen to be a vegan, I suggest you stop that dangerous diet immediately as it will leave you malnourished, deficient, and very ill in the long run (both physically and mentally).
The many times irreversible damage you can do to yourself being on a plant-based diet is no joke and there are more and more ex-vegans speaking out about it by the day.

Yeah I know but i'm a 100% sure edging aggravated the situation down there. As for the prostate enlargement, after doing nofap I noticed that peeing is hard now, it's not impossible but I don't feel that my bladder got emptied completely and i feel like something is preventing it. I don't know if this will go away but still it's very annoying.

Your story was a really good read, I came back to porn because 2020 has been shit for me aswell with pain in both my knees and my right elbow, and let's not even talk
about covid. Anyway, this post motivated me very much to keep strong.

It is a bad year for most people. But we need to get through this. You said "Everyday I regret doing it and I wish someone told me that it would affect my general health this bad". Just remind yourself that next time you are going to fap
