nodejs vs php etc

    Given that nodejs is supremely more efficient at handling large http requests does that warrant usage over the easy and more mature libs older scripting languages afford like php etc. Yes there are nodejs frameworks like hapi and express, but it is still rather more time consuming to prototype and debug, additionally it is javascript. Thoughts?
