There is going to be a discovery of a species of insect that actually tastes very good.

At first, people will think it's weird. However, what will convince them is the great compatibility with the addition of hot sauce.

    It's like this:

Shrimp is like an ocean insect and looks weird. But if you add some good quality hot sauce, it's amazing. People love spicy shrimp. It's especially popular in New Orleans.

When people discover a spicy version of the right insect species, it will be a turning point.

Also, insects are nutrious and can help feed the exploding world population of the future.

  2. They ate insects in many cultures already. Been there for hundreds of years. I doubt it will become mainstream worldwide though. Our anti-insect-food culture is too deeply engraved for it to shift in different direction. What seems to be more popular these days is actually decreasing animal product consumption as public awareness of science regarding negative health effects of these products is increasing. I think in future vegetarianism will be mainstream.

Pretty sure they have restaurants now where you can get insects. Grasshoppers, mealworms, and the like.

Maybe people are afraid off to try eating an unfamiliar food on their table because of "food poison" texture, looks, and how cockroach live in our bathroom under the sink, cricket with a soft belly and spiky legs, the unusual looks of eating the whole body of them not the meat like we to chew.
You have a point in connecting land insect to ocean insect and we find easy to adopt eating them especially if the food presentation is very appetizing.

Once they figure out a way to make a crispy deep fried insect or worm dish, it will open the doors.

I think I am getting too old to get you, but you guys are joking right? You are seriously not pro-insect eaters? :D

You do understand that the likes of Bill Gates eat organic only food while they are peddling insects to the plebs?
Those insects are not going to be like the ones they eat in Asia as an occasional delicacy, a remnant of the famine days of the past. They are going to be bred with chemicals, genetically modified and you will be eating them "WHOLE", with their poop, legs and eyes and all. Because it's cheaper to crush them like that.

Enjoy your meals I guess :D You are laughing about it now, but when meat prices keep soaring and insects are the only option you might remember reading this one.

  13. I think you’re too young to get it. This was 2017 Off Topic which was a night and day different vibe than today. People laughed back then.

    Ahh, LOL an inside joke.

Ya, I just bought meat today and my bill was like!!! Ya, I do not want to eat insects it's no laughing matter in 2023

  15. They say that 2/3 of the worlds population eats bugs. I’ve noticed when they show these places they also happen to be cultures which still live in shanties and mud huts. I don’t think they eat the bugs because the prefer them over meat.

I also read that a study showed Bill Gates synthetic meat is worse for the environment than beef. That made me chuckle.

How did the dude who can’t protect his own software from getting viruses get into the vaccine scene?

Ya, his father was in planned parenthood and his mother in IBM. He is just a facade like Sergey Brin, Larry Page, Zuckerberg and Musk. Peddling what the "bankers/deep state" want achieved through their cool "successful entrepreneurs". If musk wants to cover the planet with surveillance satellites people will think it's great. But if the government showed its face they might have second thoughts.

Also, all of those statistics about 2/3 of the worlds eating bugs are pure lies. I lived in China and I know this is an exaggeration. It's like saying the French subside on snails and frogs. They eat them alright but it's not their main food. Many cultures ate the locust when in season. But they ate one part and it was sort of a special meal.

All of those cultures ate insects because they were nearly starving. The Chinese learned to eat all sort of crazy things due to the famines caused by opium wars caused by the East India Company which worked with the HSBC bank and the Sassoon and Kadoorie crime families. Not to mention Mao Tse Tung who was supported by Yale connected university fighting Chiang Kai Check who was a freemason (both were controlled) and ended up causing famines killing untold millions.

Ya... I do not trust experts. A lot of these articles I guess are written by AI now. They all are too similar.

  17. Everybody knows the French subside on baguettes and cheese.
