I learned in AA that willpower wasn't the answer - it was admitting that I was powerless over alcohol. Then, I put my recovery into the hands of my higher power.

In AA we say, "I Can't. He Can. I'll let Him". Corn Fed? Yup, but it worked for me.

There is a difference between the two and OrangeJuice13 makes a great point. In AA, the goal is to not drink (pretty much forever), but I don't want to never ever have sex again -- so willpower might be the answer here.
