How badly was my progress affected?

Now this is a long story but my journey probably started about two years ago when I developped PIED, where I seriously reduced the amount of times I...well, you know...to about once a month (basically out of a lack of interest), then I had a 7-month hardmode streak from September 2016 to April 2017,...then I relapsed, pretty badly. I finally got back on track in July (I sent most of the month hardmode, but without flatline)...then I relapsed again a few times in August but now I've been un hardmode for over a month and I'm nos very much in a flatline. Obviously nobody knows, but did I lose all my progress? Am I back at square one like I was a year ago? How long should it take for me to have a normal libido again (it will probably be at least 6 months and I'm OK with that)? At anyrate I never want to PMO again. Thanks for any advice.

All depends on the severity of the relapse

Who much PMO do you do during your relapse?

It was kind of strange, during that period sometimes I'd go weeks at a time with out it then I'd do it a few days in a row

  6. If you binged pretty bad then it will take longer to recover. But you'll recover :)

  7. Quantity not quality. Basically a 5 day HARDCORE " beat it till you bleed "binge will take less time to recover from than a 5 month softcore off/on every other day PMO edging session.

You are not where you were a year ago. Neither are you where you could have been without your relapsing. You are sadder, but wiser, and you should come through a new reboot smoother than your first run. I wish you luck with it and hope it serves you well for the rest of your long fruitful life.

  9. Before I started, I couldn't even orgasm with a partner, period. It was way too boring. I relapsed through many streaks but along those streaks and relapses I managed to orgasm with a partner (from a handjob) in under 5 minutes. I haven't tried vaginal but I feel I'm going to get there.

Yes, when you relapse you're basically reactivating old pathways and strengthening them, which is why we reboot so we can unlearn these habits. But if you had sexual encounters with real women, your brain has also created pathways to this. Also known as rewiring. So although you strengthen the old pathways, you didn't exactly lose that much progress. You just made it more difficult though. Press on my man.

I hope you don't mind my borrowing heavily from your footer. It makes a lot of sense so I'm about to change it that way.

  11. Of course not! Please go ahead. I'm a perfectionist and I really like to keep things neat so I put it like that. I think it's great that you want to do this too, it shows the extra effort you put into your reboot. By all means my friend :)
