I'm on my 12th day of NoFap. I deleted Snapchat, Instagram, TheChive, Periscope, anything that would give me a visual cue that may lead to an urge to view porn and masturbate. All I kept was Facebook because of some friends and family I keep in contact with on there.

My real question is how have those of you who found long term success avoided the constant sexual triggers just going about your day? Commercials, billboards, lewd conversations, etc etc.

It is the biggest struggle for me. I see something just headed to work or my coworkers start talking about something nasty and it gets my mind rolling and the urge comes on strong. I've battled it off so far, but it hasn't been getting easier.

    Any advice?

  2. Well done getting rid of the apps. Seeing and hearing stuff is tricky. No easy answer. I choose to ignore it and have pride in myself that my values have changed. I walk round brown objects on the pavement/sidewalk too.

  3. Look away if you can, if you can't think about why you do not wish to be controlled by these images, think rationally about them; separate reason from body.

Sooner or later some image will always come up, you can't cut them all off. But cutting off the social media and the virtual stuff is definitely a must.

It kind of comes down to Willpower at the end. It's difficult, its REALLY difficult. Every time i think of anything lewd, or see anything sexually suggestive i think of the future. And how much better i'll be in the end, but the fact of the matter is that there's no real end. Sacrifice your short term pleasure, for your long term success! Keep up the good work my friend!
