Is it possible to diagnose PMO addiction in high profile cases from exhibited behavior alone?

A straightforward case study is Hugh Hefner who reportedly, to get off, needed to masturbate to hard-core porn while a few Playboy bunnies simulated lesbian sex in the corner. While some would argue he carries to his grave responsibility for helping create a more degenerate society - there seems little doubt he did not also become a victim of his own creation. He was like the proverbial drug dealer shooting up his own stock - Hefner was a PMO addict who would've benefited from some serious NoFap cold turkey.

How about Harvey Weinstein? All the sexual harassment details released so far point to masturbation as his release of choice. With the added twist of wanting to be watched in the shower doing it. Is such behavior the result of unfettered power over others, or as a result of heavy porn use, or something else?

    Is "PMO divination" possible?

Not sure, but one major motivation to give up on PMO is the self-conscious thought that others might 'divine' it in you.

And this is no doubt a major reason why the addict can be unsocial.

He's checked into rehab for sex addiction, so possibly.

But believe me when I say this goes well beyond him, so it's definitely not just an addiction thing; it's a power thing, through and through. This will be the first domino of many, I hope. Weinstein is the man of the moment, but there are others coming.
