If porn is alive, I would kill it and spend rest of my life in jail. But its not, and I can not do anything about it as it has taken control over me. Little but of sense is left in me and I used that to break, stop porn and failed many times. Here I am again, using that bit of sense left in me hoping I can break it, win over porn.
I sometimes wonder, why government don't make porn illegal, or ban it. We are so afraid of children being exposed to smoke, topless woman or man, drugs, etc. does anyone know the impact of porn on children? adults? does anyone know porn is all around us and ruining young minds everyday? are parents aware of this? are governments aware of this?

Let me tell you, there is more "real" porn on twitter than pornhub! go ahead, try it out.
type in google, transwomen twitter and see all the accounts with porn videos. go ahead and type in creampies twitter on google and see all the videos associated with thousands of twitter accounts. its shocking.

you think twitter is bad? how about tumblr and its millions of accounts associated with all different categories of porn including beastiality?

you think tumblr is bad? how about reddit?

    you think reddit is bad?
how about INSTAGRAM? #foodporn will take you to similar hashtags that eventually leads to pictures and videos related to porn.

porn is all around us and ruining children and adults everyday yet government is not doing anything.

you get mad at your children if they visit pornhub or xvideos...but you are ok with them having instagram? twitter? reddit?
ALL OF WHICH HAVE REAL, HOME-MADE PORN. and 10X more videos and archives than fake porn found on pornhub and xvideos so on.

this is how i got hooked on to porn. i am 28, educated, making over 6 figures, yet my life is worthless. yet my life means nothing. because porn has ruined it and ruining.

i keep watching it everyday, without it my day wont start or end. i am begging you guys to help me out here. motivate me. help me succeed.

i also go to porn because im depressed and im depressed because im lonely here. i left my family and friends for work. thousands miles away.

sorry for the rant, but i hate porn, i would kill porn...yet i cant function without it. how do i break it? how do i become successful beating it?

  3. Take comfort in the fact that you are recognizing it at 28. It is easier for you turn this around than it is for us older men. In the meanwhile, limit the time you spend online. Restrict your use of the internet to work purposes, and power down your devices at least an hour before bedtime, and leave them in another room. If you do this often enough, it will become a habit. Wounded by a pornified culture, we're all in this together. You can do it.

    Exactly this^

You can cry all you want about how porn is everywhere. Yes that is true, porn is everywhere.

But so is crack, cocaine, heroin...

It’s not it being there that is the problem, it’s your inability to control your own mind.

you are right. it is the inability to control ourself that is the problem.

but our mind is so much more powerful than a "gun being pointed at your head"

our mind will trick and convince you to click on things you do not want to. when the mind does it, you have no control. you do it.

that is addiction. addiction is much more worst than a gun being pointed at your head.

i did join SAA today! just came back from SAA initial meeting and i feel much more confident i can get through this. im going for cold turkey. i know i will get stressed and may relapse on day 5 or 7. but i hope this internet community can help me through with it!

  7. First, in my opinion, you need emergency help. Find a trusted friend or family member to put a porn blocker you your devices. There are free ones. You are not strong enough to resist on your own, so you need help in controlling. Then, second, in time, without porn you will be able to start clearing your head so you can understand how you got to where you are. It takes time for the limbic system and dopamine to wear off. Read up on everything you can to fight this addiction. Your Brain on Porn is a good one for science, and will help you understand what you are up against. Best of Luck to You

  8. In my experience it's important to fight this battle with others, i tried many times on my own and failed and it wasn't really until i joined CA (Cocaine Anonymous) that I learned about addiction and how to manage it, i had both porn and drugs to contend with. it's possible to give it up when you've truly had enough and conceeded defeat. Nobody held a gun to my head either but when you are trying to navigate yourself out of the maze of addiction and compulsion using the very tool (your mind) that got you there its very difficult, that's why we need other people to help us and to listen and guide us to better ways of living, it' something you have to act your way out of by doing different things in your life, if your job is causing you so much stress that you feel the only way to aleviate it is to sit at home on your own and consume vast amounts of porn then think about whether your job is the best fit for you, money isn't everything.

You can kill porn by quitting it. If everyone would quit and stop producing porn, it would technically die. If you stop watching it you take part at the death of porn.
If you say you earn 6 figures, hire me and I'll coach you out of porn.

Obviously someone that has no idea how this works. It’s a subconscious decision. You need the dopamine hit. If it wasn’t porn, it could be any of another kind of addiction, be it food, drugs, alcohol, shopping, whatever. It’s not as simple as saying “no.” When I’ve relapsed and looked at porn after a long layoff, my whole mood shifted. My mind calmed down and I just felt more relaxed. On the other hand, it is as simple as saying “no.” But, you have to be in the frame of mind to do so. I’m 45, been addicted to porn for close to 30 years. It ain’t easy. I’ve laid off it for a few months here and there. But I’ve always come back to it. I almost did 15 minutes ago. Had to almost tell myself out loud to stop. It’s a struggle for those who are truly addicted. So a flippant remark like that really doesn’t help. Let’s be supportive of each other here and we will all hopefully reach our goals.

I don't know if this is allowed on this site, but you might need to turn over your problem to a higher power. God definitely helps me with this, but that realization took a long while for me to come to, and I was a devout agnostic for ever

Thank you all for the support. I have joined SA meetings. In addition to that this website is also helping me. The highest I went without porn is 7 days.
It's getting harder and harder but after 4 days of not watching porn...it is kind of easy to say no to my mind. But craving is there...but seems like my mind listens to my NO better.
