Last time i fapped was ~300 days ago, i still continued to watch porn tho, now I havent fapped or watched porn for 7 weeks.. In the last month, I have had a high fever 3 times, bad headaches, got conjunctivitus twice (eye infection), had a bad cough and sore throat..

Are these expected withdrawal symptoms? Or is something else causing this?

When your brain isn't getting the dopamine it is used to from PMO, then it responds in crazy ways. It's possible that the symptoms you described are because of not fapping, though I highly doubt it. You may want to talk to a doctor to be sure.

300 days?! dude that's awesome, and no, quitting masturbation won't be causing this, it'll just be a sickness period that you're going through. Keep it up and never relapse again dude, I relapsed this morning to P and I feel like shit now, regret it so much. Peace

thanks for the replies, was hoping this was cuz of no PMO tho, cuz if its not I don't whats causing it... I heard reduced dopamine levels weaken the immune system? And yea 300 days is pretty good.. still felt the need to quit porn tho, but now this shit is making day to day life difficult.. Also, sickness period? I used to get sick once or twice a year.. and now gotten badly sick like 4 times in a month? That is pretty extreme.. I mean i've been watching porn for like 10 years and suddenly quitting like this shud have these effects on my body right?

Reduced dopamine does weaken the immune system. Give it a few more weeks and you should be back to "normal". Find other activities to give your brain dopamine, like exercise.

Just went to the doctor, even asked for a blood test. She refused saying its caused by the weather and there are many viruses going around... Just thought i'd share this if it helps.. BTW i didnt mention anything about no PMO

Trust that the doctor knows what she is talking about. Sounds like you have a cold or a virus. The best thing to do is to drink plenty of fluids, rest and stay calm. Ride it out and in a few days you will be back to normal.

Not everything is about PMO - but always keep PMO-awareness in your mind.

Ty for the reply. Could some of this at least be withdrawal symptoms? Like the bad headaches and stuff.. Cuz after 7 weeks of no PMO, i should be expecting withdrawal symptoms right?

You might have vitamin deficency, or generally bad food habits (junk food).

Take vitamins supplement for some days, eat healtier and exercise. You should recover fast.

Dude, I'm no doctor and I don't even have a 4yr degree. But the way my brain has screwed with me since quitting porn and masturbation ; I would not doubt that your brain is f....ing with you. No rule book and not linear in recovery. What an awesome thing we all found out about here. PMO screwing with our brains. I never thought about it like I've discovered here. I feel so lucky! I gladly take my symptom's and will pay the price to break free of this vice. No morals, no ethics! People jack off and watch porn. Fine with me. I KNOW its a problem in my life though. I'll never go back. Fail? Hope not. I could never enjoy it again like I used to.

After 7 weeks of no PMO you will experience withdrawal symptoms and yes headaches can be part of that. But when you have a temperature and the doctor is seeing the same symptoms in others then it is most likely to be a cold virus. Do as NoFap4000 suggests and get some fresh food. But nothing is going to speed up your recovery - you just need to rest until you body has dealt with the cold. Fluids and sleep will help the headaches.

I know when I quit drinking in 1995 I suffered symptoms that I had never experienced before. I believe it was connected to the withdrawal from alcoholic drinking. The body does react to the loss of a dependency.
I am also suffering some reaction to quitting PMO. I don't worry too much about all these side issues, I just concentrate on abstaining from PMO. I also believe 'if doctors knew what they were talking about' they would have found a solution to compulsive behaviour?

Why are you bumping this? If you still suffering these symptoms you need to say so. And if that is the case you need to go back to the doctor's and explain that you still have the symptoms. Or find a different doctor.

Bumping this thread isn't going to make you better.

It could be, go to a doctor anyway.

I had physical withdrawal symptoms, I would wake up with a flu every morning, for months. It would come and go during the reboot. I also had to cough everytime before I said something. It always got better around 18.00. Worst was in the mornings, so in my case it was physical withdrawal symptoms. I also had a little fever I think, never checked but it felt so.

Go get the professional opinion of a doctor, but be honest with your history of quitting PMO etc so he'll be able to correctly diagnose you. Good luck!
