woke up way early, went for a sprint around the estate n got down to a real sweaty workout session.
i then skipped over to youtube n watched a few motivational vids before selecting a random music playlist to get me psyched for the day.. (which i guess was my only mistake)..
i haven't done anything regrettable, but i noticed that all the songs that came up (though great songs), had so much sex in the lyrics n the videos e.g. nicki minaj, rihanna, almost all rap songs, ragga n dancehall, EDM e.t.c.
so i turned off the music n got to watching some animated series (the safe ones), for fear of a relapse; only to hear my neighbour blasting some of the raunchiest tracks in existence..
..it didn't bother me as much though, just got me thinking... why is sex such a marketing tool?
i mean, u can't even advertise toothpaste without giving it a sex appeal!!.. even the places that were once considered 'safe' are rapidly transforming for worse,.. nowhere is 'safe' anymore. even going to church can get your blood rushing with people embracing their 'freedoms' and 'sexuality'. there is no longer such a thing as 'dress codes' or 'indecency',.. its all about expressing yourself n being confident in your skin blah blah... which is all good but i wonder if people realise that as long as we fuel the 'sex demon' we've lost already..
its not normal or okay for us to be so sex hungry,.. but its all over the telly, radio, billboards, public discussions, day to day fashions e.t.c. but we choose to turn a blind eye n before we know it we're part of the problem.
in this decade the porn industry is one of the fastest growing industries with a rapidly growing market; it cuts across all genders, races(even species), ages e.t.c to the point that it may as well be included in school curriculum (i mean, nobody's doing shit to stop it anyway..)
long story short, when my neighbour started playing his music, the horny devil in me was almost automatically fixated on the lyrics.. but then my sober mind was like, 'wait a damn minute!... there is no forseeable happy ending here.. infact, the only rationalisation is, well, everyone's doing it... everyone's selling it or seems to have accepted it...?
well, am not everyone. n as impossible as shit may seem at times its better to die trying than to live asking "what if?"
so i'll give it my BEST shot... if i fail i'll get tougher n try harder.. got nothin to lose anyway..!~

The amount of sex used as marketing tool and sexual things being everywhere is what makes this challenge hard and in the end(90 days) you would be even happier that you completed the challenge  You can't escape the amount of triggering stuff on the internet/tv that are going to be always there..

In todays society along with many in the past sex has been used to entertain because its our weakness. It was once said that the last thing government wsnts is a society capable of critical thinking. Look at all of the things they throw in our face to keep us occupied, and then look at how much sex plays a factor in them. They say sex sells and it sure does, but it really keeps us on a leash. It also desensitizes us, they put sex war violence and countless other things in our faces to totally desensitize us and to keep us from reaching our true potential. If everyone stopped listening to music, watching movies, porn(i know not everyone does), tv, tablets, smsrtphones etc, we would be able to grasp reality more than ever. That scares the crap out of government and higher ups. They want porn out there, and drugs and over sexualization etc because it keeps us focused on the wrong things. This is just my experience and how i percieve but do some research. Search that quote "the last thing government wants is a society capable of critical thinking" its worth it in my opinion.
