    Wow! Everyone here knows that three days is probably the hardest challenge there is and you are there!! Look at one of my other thread answers from today to see strategies for making it through half week at a time. Otherwise, try and focus on things you've been putting off in real life. Cross at least one thing off that list today.

    Great attitude! Reply here and say what your worse trigger is. Don't be embarrassed. It's not going to be one we don't know. Once you've named it, you can raise your force field. Only you can do that but we're behind you. Don't doubt your strength.

    Day 2 of 5. I can do it.
    Thank you, DerNeuMann, for this opportunity.

    Starting taking 5-HTP. Let's see if it works - even a 5% increase in mood would work wonders for me.
    Invented a method to accept myself and my thoughts. It seems to work although it feels a bit forced. Do you guys want to hear it?

    Thank you for your reply. I have tried several types of medication. They gave me headaches and constipation and did not help my condition.
    I have been in contact with different types of therapists, but no one seems to be able to really put their finger on the problem - or maybe it is I who will not accept their counselling. Overly critical and not trusting - this is pretty much my double bind.

    I have though been practicing a regular workout and meditation regime for some months. It is working and I am slowly getting better. But these last days have been hell, really awful.

    6 Week Update!!!

    Yesterday marked the last day of week 6 so today I begin week 7. Yesterday I had my first burst of the so-called "insane energy" that other rebooters report. I woke up today with that as well. I'm not sleeping a full night but I still feel energetic and refreshed, also reported by YouTube nofappers like Elisha Long and KreativeVein.

    I feel more and more positive every day. I've always been good natured and jokey but now, more and more, I find myself starting to shy away from cynical jokes. This is a net positive, I think. Not everyone can deal with that type of humor.

    I have absolutely no desire to look at porn. I hate what it is so much now and what has done to so many of my new friends on this thread that I want to vomit when I think of how much harm it is. Unbelievably, there are guys on this website telling others that it's not harmful at all. Really? If that's true, why does this community exist? Why are my new friends as desperate as I am to put it in the past forever?

    I am staying as far away from triggers as possible. No more flatlines in the last couple of weeks. I do notice shivers running up my spine at normal things that are especially good like good music or good ideas. Dopamine receptor system starting to come online, Captain.

    Guys. You are here because you know this is the right thing and you want it badly. I'm telling you it's worth it. Just remember that it's not the root cause of your procrastination or anxieties but it makes all of that a million million times worse and more devastating to you. As you go on this journey, if you really want to be successful, you need to figure out the things that make you not like yourself or lack confidence in yourself. If you can name them, you can eliminate them or at least stop caring about them. The new you is far more amazing than what you are right now capable of imagining.

    Today is thr third day, no urges came. I was busy for university, and forced to stay at home studying at least 8 hours a day, really hard to keep control on impulses this way. Now all the exams are over, i hope for good votes, sun is shining and birds are singing, go through the next four days to reach this week!
    3/7

    Let me give you all a tip: find, day by day, a new simple idea about what you wanna do, schedule your actions.
    Stay focused on what you do

    I know what you mean. How long of stories are you trying to write? You could always try writing shorter stories, and work up from there.

    5-HTP report.
    00:00 light depression, chains of negative thoughts
    00:20 i found myself thinking about positive things. Chains of positive thoughts mixed with the negative chains
    00:30 took a huge shit, felt awesome to get some poison out of the body. (5-htp is precursor to serotonin, which is a stomach regulator first and foremost)
    00:35 walked out the door to get shit done.
    -
    01:30 sitting here typing, feeling like the baseline mood has lifted just slightly. Brain fog decreased slightly. Negative rumination decreased significantly. Stomach churning (good sign I guess)

    Overall recommended. Might be placebo. Contact your physician before using

    Brutal honesty. Don't we wish everyone we met or interacted with would be really honest?

    Who cares if something is placebo if the effect is good. What did Dumbledore say? "Of course it's all in your head, Harry. Why on earth would that mean it's not real?

    My progressive challenge is as follows;

    7 days -> 14 days -> 21 days -> 30 days > 90 days (and beyond)

    The 30th day is the same day I go home for Christmas, something I am greatly looking forward too. I imagine the first 21 days will be the most challenging for me. Currently, I am feeling super flat and unenergetic, which stressed me out because I cannot be effective in my schoolwork. Yet, my schoolwork has strict deadlines that I must adhere to. Stress is a major predictor for me to relapse, so I need to be careful not to give in!

    Hey, BrandNewGuy, who I now know as Dylan because of your candid blog posts (and by the way, I recommend the guys in this thread take a look at Dylan's blog with the link he provides in his post). We are almost as happy as you that you're here. I like the way you've set a series of subgoals leading to infinity. I look forward to congratulating you soon so please update daily for a while for accountability's sake.

    What has been your longest streak up to now?

    One final note, I really like the fact that you listed stress as a predictor and not as a cause. Stress is everyone's problem on this website but it's not really the cause of fapping. What it usually is for most of us is an excuse to fap so we can hide from dealing with the source of the stress.

    You have a good handle on what you want and why you want it. You're also not at all shy to lay your problems out in the sun so you can properly address them. All good signs of someone who's ready to take responsibility and leave the fap crap in the dust. Can't wait to see what great things you'll accomplish.
