What makes you to stay strong against PMO?

Hi, NoFap community! After last relapse I was depressed for few days and wasting time PMOing. Now, when I finally get up again, I want to complete biggest challenge so far and i feel like I need some help with that.

And while surfing forums I've read alot of successful stories and saw a long streaks like 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and even years! And I asked myself how on earth people do that? What motivates them to stay vigilant and turn away from PMO addiction? Why not create a thread and ask them? So here we are.

 

My connection with God. When I'm spiritually focused, I'm on the fact that I have a purpose and a mandate to serve people and use my gifts to impact the world positively. When I'm spending time in prayer and meditation its much easier to resist Temptation to PMO because I am not relying on my own power. It highlights the fact that PMO is a destructive waste of time and makes it more difficult to enjoy.
I still have a long way to go but I'm beginning to become addicted to the state of mind and the confidence I get after abstaining for a couple of days. It makes me feel like a different person and motivates my resistance.

 

I voted other cause its all of the above, hobbies and work has specially helped me. Not trying to preach to you but the main thing is my connection with God, and the second thing is my future goals I want a wife and children, I cant do that if Im addicted to porn. I want to be a good father and a husband, this drives me alongside with my faith.

You have to find what can drive you, motivate you to keep going.

My biggest streak was 16 days so far. It was a time, when I was finally happy and that feeling of freedom, when you feel like all doors are open and nothing can drawing you back, motivates me now to start over and over again till I will be able to make decisions by myself, not by my PMO-addicted mind.

 

I chose hobbies. I have a curious mind, when I question how things work I don't stop until I get the answer. My hobby involves solving problems and making stuff work. PMO takes enerrgy away from that.
