Day 7 is complete, finally fixing to go to sleep. I know 7 days isn’t that impressive but this is the first time I’ve ever gotten past it. I want to thank each and every one of you for the support and My inbox is open if anyone needs to just chat. Doesn’t even have to be about PMO. If you need someone to talk to about anything at all, hit me up. Thanks again

  3. 14/14 started..going to complete my second goal and starting my third goal as 21 days to reach...

I read somewhere how a habit is forming..a reasearch saying any activities it may be a good or bad activities if we are continously doing for 21 days then it ll be a habit for us... So i hope if i reach my third goal this 21 days then this bad habits ll go away :) some research saying we shuld reach 66 days to form a habit...that also we can try....

    Insomniacs

Several of you are now getting to a stage where some insomnia might kick in. Feel free to come here and tell us what you're experiencing. Somebody else may also be here either because they can't sleep or because it's daylight where they are.

So give us something to read!
On the other hand, if the phone in your hand is a trigger, for goodness sake, don't touch it. Go watch TV or read a good book.
    Take care!

28/30. Need to start thinking about the next goal. Already treated myself this weekend to a pair of beats headphones. Loving listening to music in bed. Focusing on the lyrics. The world is full of better entertainment than P

Hell yeah, dude! Music, movies, games... all that stuff is on an entirely different playing field than P, it's ridiculous. Thinking about P, I'm realizing it's genuinely bottom-of-the-barrel stuff. It's designed to be more addictive than it is fun, so you just keep coming back less and less satisfied than the first time, just making them more and more money... The stuff really is a cheaply maid, shitty, addictive drug, except it's free and anyone can get their hands on it, so it's even worse. Plus, these days most people are blind to how terrible it is for you.
Parents and teachers lecture kids for 18 years not to do drugs, but you never hear "don't watch porn". I know I'm going off on a huge tangent, but I feel like that should be a part of Sex Ed. I reckon teaching teenagers the risks of consuming P is a lot more valuable than anyone gives it credit for. Just, like, a 20 minute slideshow, or maybe a showing of Your Brain On Drugs, followed by showing some success stories from NoFap or something like that... Anyone else agree?

  13. 14/21 days.
Had Some bad urges in the weekend because I was hungover and those days are the worst. I went to some sites, but was able to click them away without looking at any videos. But I realize I need to stop doing that, because it will make me relapse in the future.
From this day on I will Also pick up meditation Again, just 15 min a day. Take cold showers and read every evening instead of watching television.

    Good luck to Everyone!

Day 13 here, and the struggle is on. Super realistic dreams(nightmares?) of myself relapsing. Stomach agitated, stress and trouble sleeping / oversleeping in the morning.
The symptoms are more physical than mental right now. I feel mentally strong and I have a positive outlook, thanks to 5-htp.
    Thanks, good plans you got!
Also cutting out caffeine after lunch works good for falling asleep, for me at least

At 8 days, now! Uncharted territory for you!! We rejoice with you and we'll be here for you in the challenging days ahead. You're now past that first big hurdle. Keep going! Stay away from P no matter how desperately it calls to you. It only wants to harm you. You've got this because you're a stronger man than anyone else you know in your daily life. Hold your head high around them.

Great idea on the headphones! Yes, you are right. The world is definitely full of better entertainment than P and now that your dopamine receptors should start becoming more sensitive, you're going to find out just how much better the good entertainment can be, especially music.

Three months ago I would have shrugged and said, "eh, maybe." But today I agree with you 1,000 percent. Girls can be addicted, too. Who knows, maybe some brave young guy will start a nofap support group at his school. That would be a strong man, for sure. He'd have to put up with a lot of shit but he'd develop a pretty thick skin...like Metapod!

In regard to the "don't watch porn" thing...In defense of the teachers and parents, they don't actually know how pervasive it is. I've mentioned nofap to a couple of people who are around 27 and 40. Both of them were completely surprised at the statistics about the number of teens addicted to porn and I don't think they believed me. They seemed clueless about it. So maybe you could slip your health teacher some stats under the door so he/she will get a clue.

Deth, this was a fantastic post. This is why the under 20s on this thread are not kids. You're men and we treat you with that respect. Any man who is working on nofap is a manly man, indeed.

Would especially like for the under 20s to comment on Deth's idea. What do you think?

Eddie, Fantastic job on making it this far. I'm impressed that you were able to resist the videos. That means you really are getting stronger but you are right about not taking any more chances. Now that you're up to 14 days, the stakes are higher. They keep getting higher as time goes on. Two weeks! That's excellent. If you haven't done so yet, please read my earlier posting on this thread regarding what you can expect in the next stage. It's a tough one but you might get some relief from urges. Depends on the individual.

Great job. You're doing really well. Keep it up and keep us posted. You are always welcome to post as often as you like. Reading a book is good, too.

Great job, man. Thank you so much for relating your experience and for taking the night support shift on the thread (even though you'd rather sleep). Yes, you're now really in stage 2, so even if it's difficult, it's a good thing. I've read that a handful of almonds before bed can help make the dreams more pleasant rather than upsetting. I don' t know if that's true but, for what it's worth. This stage can be a bitch for vivid dreamers, which you apparently are. However, it IS temporary. You've come so far, already that I know you've got this. PM me any time, man.
