I first discovered porn at a young age and it has been the bane of my life ever since. I first noticed a problem when I had my first long term girlfriend around the age of 17. I would struggle to climax in any sexual situation, especially during sex. It took me at least 6 months before I climaxed during sex but it was a real effort each and every time. After some research I made the link that porn was the problem.

During the relationship I was on and off porn in effort to reboot myself but would fail each time. The longest I went without porn was 3 months. Over the 3 years I was with her, sex became less and less desirable for myself which took an impact on me mentally. Sometimes I would prefer masturbation over sex.

Recently finishing with her has made porn a big part of my sexual life again, which I want to change. I don't want a repeat of my last relationship with future women. In effort to kick my habit I've joined the Nofap community. Wish me Luck!

    Thanks.

Good luck mate! Keep at it and go for it! Don’t give into any urges that may come. My best advice, if you are struggling, get up and out and change your situation. I mean completely change. If you’re inside. Go outside for a walk. I found it’s the best way to deal. Also start a journal. It’s ideal to keep track of your progress, your struggles, your wins, any issues with the reboot or life etc. It also helps others to see how you’re doing :)

    Good luck!

It's difficult to change my situation at the moment due to having University deadlines in the next two weeks. Being stuck in my room 24/7 isn't helping. Hence relapsing today...

Oh no, sorry to hear that mate. What happened? Did something trigger you or was it just circumstance?

Hi Adam, I have heard successful stories of members here who have done the reboot but did face relapsed at the early stages. No worries mate, the rebooting is a hard but possible procedure. Don’t give up and do re-over again. The road is rough. Start your day1 again. Keep writing here and be strong.
