My father drinks, and that is the only time he is himself. Or, to say, open for conversation.

Yeah, agreed. I stopped it because of this nofap wouldn't advance while consuming it. It takes discipline away.

But I do understand why they drink.

 

Yes drinking is too dangerous for me while going through NoFap. It's like all the discipline just goes away like a shot. My father used to be a heavy drinker, I am thankful he has finally given that up and smoking. I can't judge because we all have our vices.

 

I think it was Johnson that said, 'when idle be not solitary, and when solitary be not idle'. Though I wonder if this is a little puritanical....

 

8 out of 10 relapses I had in recent months were caused by alcohol. It is also very often leads to depresive, negative thoughts.

I do drink but I am also super cautious. I also prepare myself for that with loads of positive self talking before.

 

I used to be an alcoholic. It was terrible. Life is better without the stuff.

 

Drinking is meh, i don't like it because i always feel like shit afterwords, and one or two beers doesn't cut it for me. Last time i got drunk i had a whole bottle of cognac, then a shot of makers mark with ginger ale, then two Budweisers. it ended with me puking all over my kitchen.
drinking doesn't do anything for me in sexual department, but when i smoke weed it's a completely different story. it makes me REALLY HORNY. which is why i stay away from weed atm.

i used to do meth and that made mo so horny and go so long i could masturbate for like 12 hours straight. been clean from it for over two years now though thankfully.

 

ill still drink, just not often, and not a lot. i would smoke weed but i'm job hunting right now, and it raises my anxiety levels. hoping after a good time in reboot i'll be able to enjoy weed like i used to.

 

I'm afraid to get drunk. One good drunk is all it takes to wake up, to forget, to fap. Too dangerous to change consciousness that much.

 

I hate being drunk unless I'm with someone at least as drunk as me. Being heavily drunk feels terrible and it's just destructive. It doesn't do anything good for you. It doesn't stimulate you. It's not like weed, which gives you inspiration and calm if used correctly, it just makes you plainly stupid.
A little beer buzz is nice though.

I don't drink and my life is fantastic. And it's not hard to socialize without drinking so it surely isn't necessarily.

And Sometimes if you must be in a place that serves alcohol for business reasons (maybe it's this type of social ties you are talking about) you can always order a soda or water.

I'm telling you not to drink I'm just saying it isn't necessary and I honestly think being sober all the time doesn't make life boring even a little. To be honest, life becomes more interesting in my honest opinion because you end up finding enjoyment in places you never thought you would.

 

Every time when i failed it was because i was drunk or i did not sleep well.

 

I am disciplining myself to drink one beer when i am out with friends and that is all, but never drink alone its the worst thing you can do to yourself.
