    hey you all I’m new to NoFap. I have been addicted to porn and masturbation ever since i saw my first porn video on a Video Casette when i was around 12. I popped it in the VCR and the scenes blew my mind. I thought “Whoa, this is cool!, look at that hot chick”, etc. Little did I know I was going to be hooked for the next 15 or so years with some failed attempts to stop mixed in. I saw nude porn photos, even some beastiality. And I wouldn’t watch beastiality vids until when I recently looked for something new, different. And of course the usual porn videos from pornhub and youporn, you know the deal. About three weeks ago I decided I had to make changes and I now want to quit. Porn and masturbation have affected my life too much in a negative way, from depression to anxiety to losing interest in everyday activities and relationships. I want to reclaim my life now and am moving forward. I am 29 now and I feel the time has come to change.
    I would like to ask if you could tell me the terminology you NoFappers use like “hardmode” which I am not familiar with. Thanks for the help and for reading my story.

    Not everyone uses the same terminology, so I can't be sure what folks mean by "hard mode," but I think they mean no porn, no sexual stimulation at all. The thing is, everyone creates his or her own goals here.

    yeah what’s the best advice you have for someone who is just starting with no pmo and what are the best ways to avoid relapsing? And what do you guys think would be a realistic goal?

    Let's say 7 days !
    & For me
    If I feel I am about to relapse
    I get up and start stretching & exercising !
    If you can, get out the house !
    Also...COLD SHOWERS MOST DEFINITELY
