No I'm not surprised, I actually *mentioned* that there's some question about that in my first reply if you look back. Just because it's not written in the 2017 "psychology books" (do you mean the DSM? Which books???) it doesn't mean there's no addictive quality, do they recognize internet porn as an addiction? If you know porn is addictive then do the simple math that means you can't go by the authorities recognition when they don't consider porn as a possible addiction but you do.

What are the points about the debate? I mean it's one thing to cite there is one it's another thing to even have anything specific about it.

It's easy to look for information to support your position instead of actually look at it for what it is from all sides. But I'm not trying to convince you one way or the other, the fact is some things can be addictive to some people and not others. Some people have no problem drinking, that doesn't mean alcohol is not addictive obviously. With actual sex there's also the question of relationship dynamics, you can say that's not addiction but things like codependency come into it, for which there are recovery groups.

Looking for girls on the street as if they were drugs is not creative, it's something people actually do - I'm sure you've heard of prostitution. I'm not saying you would do that, but people do so that's something that happens. If people do that on a regular basis, which apparently in our world does HAPPEN then wouldn't you call that an addiction? And if you want to draw an arbitrary line because people are paying for it what's the difference if you are just as hooked? You'll have to make some actual distinctions instead of "I don't think it would lead to that" - again it may not lead to that for you, but there are people who ALREADY do that so that doesn't follow at all.

Again you can think whatever you like, but if there is an open discussion about it you'll have to expect people to have different views and you'll have to come up with real reasons that follow, not "that's pretty creative" and just "I don't think so." Anyone can say they don't think so and something that is natural isn't excluded from addiction. Look at food, people can eat themselves to death in different ways but food is natural. Again, may not happen for you but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen or it cannot be addictive.

Well said, you just said everything I was thinking. These guys need to toughen up, there are no shortcuts to this. Stay disciplined, avoid all sexual activities and you will recover well.

the purpose of a lot of people in here isn't to quit addiction to just porn, but addiction to sex altogether. I find people that can abstain of sex will by that time have developed an extreme amount of self-control, discipline and will power. If these skills are used correctly, the building of wealth or achieving any kind of goal is much easier.

HAHAHA BIG BOY PANTS I LOVE IT! "Whats in it for them? How do they feel safe? REAL women are not men's toys. That is flawed thinking." Whatever your idea of a "REAL WOMAN" is , she has one thing EVERY REAL WOMAN HAS= a VAGINA. If you're doing it right and making sure Her sexual needs and desires are taken care of, sex is a beautiful 2-way street. You sound like you got married real young, regret having done it because you missed out on the opportunity to explore new beautiful women, and now you'd like to ruin it for all of us MEN who haven't been socially conditioned to think the way you think. Now THAT'S flawed thinking. *Drops the Mic"

No shortcuts, But why make it extra difficult to quit? The problem is not sexual addiction, its porn addiction. Any little "shortcut" I can take, THAT WON'T negatively affect my progress, is beneficial to my journey. Or am I wrong? Is real sex with beautiful in the same category as porn?

And like BjornTMV said, It's only an "addiction" if it gets in the way of life. If you can't focus on work, family, etc because all you can think about and dwell on is sex then it is bad. If you're addicted to the point you don't care where you get it from, prostitute, homeless person, whatever.. then it's a negative addiction. But if you just want to bang your wife/gf/bf all the time, then that's perfectly healthy IMHO.

each person is here for a different reason. Some to escape PM only, and others Sex as well. Whichever works best for you is what you should do. Me, Im doing 90 days hard mode. No PMO, sex, anything. after 90, I'll reintroduce sex and see where it goes from there.

You do whatever you want to do at the end of the day lol. I'M JUST SAYING ...The entire Point of NoFap is to replace PORNOGRAPHY with real world sex. No one is going to make an online Forum and say "ALRIGHT MEN, LISTEN UP! SEX IS THE ENEMY, KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS!" Because sex is not THE problem lol.
