I'm actually not here to promote prostitution. I just found this thread interesting and I'm on NoFap anyway.

 

That explains... a lot, really. You grew up surrounded by that stuff, so of course, you think it's fine and dandy. Americans differ significantly in mindset.

FYI, I think most European countries are backwards, just like the impression that most European countries seem to give off is that they are more "enlightened" than the rest of us and that us Americans are so "silly" and just need to "evolve". Meanwhile, we're the most influential and longest-lasting superpower the world has ever known and vital to the continued existence of the world as we know it. But I digress.

 

To hit on this, I am "religious" in the term that people would understand it, and the main reason I want to see an end to things like pornography and prostitution is because of their overwhelming detriment to just about everyone involved. Do I believe in controlling people or passing laws? Nope. I believe in seeing a change in the hearts and minds of individuals. The most I'd ever do if, say, I were elected to office would be to educate and raise awareness. Maybe rigorously enforce laws that are already in place to punish those that would abuse the weak and helpless. Stuff like that.

 

Enforce stricter regulations for whom can actually access pornography on the web perhaps? The pornography industry hooks and feeds off the younger generation, creating long-lasting, addicted audiences for years to come. The average age a child is exposed to pornography is about 12. I don't know if there would ever be a way to achieve that though..

 

Reading comprehension, dude. I never said that these relationships were between unequal parties. Only that you can damn well get a girlfriend (self-identified ugly dude) provided that you don't approach the matter with a huge entitlement complex. The notion that you ought to have "options" just because you want something reeks of entitlement. Sex is not a human right, and prostitution wouldn't exist if we could make PMO vanish from our world. Only girls that indulge in masturbation OR girls that are victims becomes prostitutes. And why should you even think about going to a prostitute? Is your sense of shame completely lost? Don't you feel guilt and disgust about yourself? No offense, but I bet you're not happy with yourself going to prostitutes, and your mother wouldn't be either, no offense again.

I go all in, and counters does not bother me much, this was just for fun. I relapsed to cigarettes, alcohol and junk food. I also had a wet dream this weekend but I haven't intentionally masturbated or watched porn. I reset my counter whenever I use caffeine, alcohol/drugs, tobacco, music, porn, masturbation, sex, wet dreams etc.

 

Cigarettes - what are you doing to yourself? Now that is a serious addiction/activity - they can kill you! Stop and don't restart mate.

I invite you to come to Europe. Go to Sweden, Denmark, have a look at their social standards and social life, which is at highest level in the whole world. See how civilized they even treat mass murderers. Go to England and France, have a look at their culture and fine arts, which is famous in the whole world. Go to Germany: Everybody knows they have the finest and most accurate engineeers in the world. "Made in Germany" is a guarantee for highest quality. Then go to Austria -- they are producing the quality handguns all of you Americans love so much ;-) Just to note some countries in Europe.

So can you please stop this, I think no real "super man" needs to emphasize his power. Sounds more like you are suffering from megalomania and low self esteem.

America is without doubts a great country, you have a great spirit in terms of thinking positive, taking challenges, going forward to new things. This is what makes America great and which makes it attractive to people who want to take new challenges.

On the other side, you have a loft of thinking in terms of "revenge", "shame", "guilt" - just look at the typical gesture of Americans of "pressing their lips".

You have highest crime rates, you still have death penalty, extreme poorness, millions of people living in the streets, you circumcise your boys and tell them that masturbations is a bad thing, while at the same time you have the highest porn industry in the world !

 

I would not like to live without music, but you should make a break from "non-stop-music".

Today, there is too much "passive music consumation" in our life - everyhwere, there are speakers installed, a lot of people are wearing earplugs non-stop, etc. You hardly find a place in a city without music.

Make a break from "non-stop-music", listen to silence and to the sounds of nature.
And better make music your own - sing, play an instrument, play together with others. Actively playing music is a great experience!! It gives you so much energy and pleasure, and it will also guide you out of fapping.

sometimes the lust is bigger as the ethics (or morality) - call it weakness or whatever you want.

 

Actually I think that prostitution has everything to do with a country's ethics and politics, feminism, social class/welfare, education, language, abundance/acceptance of pornography, etc.
However, it has nothing to do with music and tobacco, maybe in some rap song there is a reference to hoes and cigarettes, but that would be about it, I think.
The sense of entitlement that swirls around prostitution is something I think is important to look at. Creating a power differential between hooker and john, may be a turn on for a lot of guys, but I have to question the compassion in such an arrangement. Lack of compassion for other human beings creates this sense of entitlement or privilege. Compassion may not be what you came to NoFap to deal with, but I suggest that a lack of compassion for others may indicate a lack of compassion for oneself. If you want to break an addiction, then self awareness and self compassion can go a long way.
