    Hey

Im sorry to bring this up again, but i've posted this afternoon about this in other section and I got no answers. This freaked me out.

Well... Im facing what seems to be a porn induced ED and HOCD, so I took the no PMO and nofap challenge. Since I started I relapsed (not with porn).

The reason I created this post is to know about the definitions of the addiction. I had some sings of porn addiction (the adrenaline rushes, the better erections with porn, the excessive use), but Its been almost three months since I stoped and I didnt had any cravings or things like that. I was not like the stories I read here.

I've seen ocasional nudity, by accident on the internet, and I wasnt aroused. I wasnt crazy to watch porn again... I dont think this is normals for someone who doesnt watch porn for almost 3 months.

Sometimes I get aroused by real girls and for memories of girls I fucked, but its rare. Now, worried about this, I sometimes picture the idea or an image of boobs in my head and I dont feel the way I felt before. Is this just normal flatline? This is freaking me out. Please help. Am I really addicted?

Adrenaline rush, heightened experience, and excessive behavior...... Yeah sounds like an addiction to me. Maybe you should try to go the whole 90 without M. I'm only two weeks into this, but I've been in situations where I had no access to P and no privacy for M and therefore no O for over 90 days. When I would come back to the "real" world I'd be unstoppable with women. It was like I had a sixth sense for knowing who was into me, and I had a healthy sex drive. Now I have similar symptoms to you, except I wouldn't call my use excessive. I know what I was doing was unnatural, and I'm at a point in my life where I want to be the best me I can be in all aspects, so I'm giving it a shot. I'm by no means qualified to diagnose conditions of the mind, but if I made a guess I'd say if you're still masturbating, even without porn, you may not be giving you're mind the proper conditions to reset. Think in Pavlovian context..... You removed the stimulation but you're still providing the reward.

Perfect, Dukesgt. Not much, but im realy providing the reward. Most of the times I masturbate just to see if i get hard or to have de relieve. Sex is a detail.

I feel some signs of addiction, but I feel like it has been easier for me to leave porn than to everybody else, and I dont get aroused by pictures I think I should. Thats what I think is weird. Thanks for your answer.

    hey anm.

everybody has a different experience i guess. I'm not a doctor but from my limited understandings porn is more then a physical response it also is a chemical reaction in the brain and cos each person is differently balanced the way in which we react is different from my experience i gave up viewing porn at the start of the month and while I haven't flat lined well well not really I guess I've gone nofap before But this time round its been a different sort of struggle I dont have any strong desire to chase after porn but i did last NoFap journey but physically I've been getting aroused at different times some times cos of seeing something or a random thoughts. but other times i see a incredibly beautiful women and have no response. its really strange. Maybe it's worthwhile taking Dukesgt's advice and dropping jacking for a period of time to see if it has any effect. But honestly mate I think your competently normal Honestly I not sure how much you can compare yourself on forums because honestly we're all writing from our own perspectives and then you read it and understand it from your perspective. So its not exactly qualitative data. But keep on journeying and asking questions I plan on asking more questions.

If you did no PMO, and you 'relapsed' without porn, you did not relapse. PMO stands for Porn-Masturbation-Orgasm. When you MO, you have not PMO'd. Porn has altered your perception of sexuality to confuse everything sexual with porn.

What i did for my recovery was I would MO if I felt like I was in danger of PMO. Over time my drive became less associated with pornography and the pitfalls from PMO never came. MO still hits you, but not nearly as hard as PMO does. Most people cannot quit both MO and PMO at the same time, going cold turkey drives people insane and is almost impossible. Stick to MO over PMO and you will recover faster and your withdraws will be less intense. Keep fighting.

And its normal to see nudity and not go crazy if you haven't watched porn in a while. Life is not all about sex and you need to realize that you body and mind is just readjusting itself psychologically. You will get through it and get out and the other end just fine. The absence of a substance can cause withdraws sometimes 3-4 or even 6 months down the line (but that is real rare for P addiction).

If you are flatlined, dont even worry about it. Know that this is just a bump in he road.

Wow, EoT23. I like your strategy of no PMO but having a MO failsafe. That way, it's not all or nothing and it helps you continue to recover over a longer period of time. I might try that. My only fear is that I will be tempted to start MO more frequently which is better than looking at porn but will probably slow down my PIED recovery.

If you don't mind me asking, when you do this, do you think about women you know, or past sexual encounters, or anything like that? Or do you just try to be alone with yourself and make it happen without any kind of imagery in your head?

Hey, Gas. I have "relapsed" three times (never with porn). When I got to that point it was always because of real sexdrive (at least I think it was), and it was always thinking about women I know/past sexual encounters. But for instance. I wasnt able to avoid MO since my last relapse, and after one or two times, it got back to... racionaly deciding to masturbate. I would got some mental pictures of past sexual encounters in the way, but it begins with nothing sexual. Just a urge to "feel good" or to see that I function.

So I think that EoT23's strategy is awesome, but it gets dangerous like you imagined.

(Im sorry for my poor english)

Thanks for your answers. You are helping me a lot.

  8. i would not suggest going back to porn if you already stopped a bit, after a time you won't even want to see porn, thats how it worked for me anyway
