Personally, i feel like i do stay busy but its that motivation that i need to keep goikg. so the question is...

How have YOU guys KEPT that motivation going?? What do you giys do to stay busy, mind off of PMO, or just anytging that supplements keeping yourself going?

I think about the benifits and remember other people’s relapse posts. Those posts all have the same theme, they relapsed and now feel like shit.
I don’t want to feel like shit.

I think it's important to remember that you build up your motivation. Things like proper sleep at regular hours, a correct diet, and exercise all contribute to building up the mental systems that make up focus.

Most of the stuff here seems to indicate you can keep the motivation if you pair it with goals. Usually taking up a hobby or something. Personally, I think a constructive hobby, be it exercise, video games, or art are all great ways you can watch your skills and interests improve. In order for motivation to take root, you need to get positive feedback. So while you're cutting out toxic positive feedback loops from your life right now(PMOing) you need to make sure you start building with new healthy positive feedback loops.

So i guess find new ways to get healthy dopamine going and rewards in your brain from healthy habits. That makes sense... replacing the old habit with new habits takes time, apparently its like 21 days or something to form a habit in your brain. if i get to that goal and form all these new habits i want to do for myself, it should be easier after that. I know it sounds like i shouldve thought of this a while back but im just now realizing that. Thanks man

My previous streak was 23 days and I relapsed on 24th day. Right now I am on my 13th day again. So, these are a few things which I followed and which may be useful to you

    1. Stay away from mobile internet as much as possible. Use it only when you need it the most. That's a biggest distraction in your initial days of nofap.

    2. Read more success stories in the forums. That's how I kept myself motivated.

    3. Engage yourself in something or the other whenever you feel the urge for PMO. If you don't have anything to do, atleast leave your room and go out and start talking your family members.

    4. Avoid touching your p*** as much as possible. That can trigger you to watch porn and fap in the inital days because your mind responds to vision rather than touch during that time.

    5. With each passing day, try to fix this in your mind strongly : 'there are a million other things which are more important than PM.'

    6. Last but not least, have a long term goal and start concentrating more on achieving it.

    1. yes i completely agree with this. basically all my relapses have been because i was on the internet and slowly creeped back into porn by edging woth pics on google images. so ive been managing my internet use and keeping all the unecessary ise away.

    2. i will have to do this more as well

    3. usually when im bored, i find something to do. wether its reading or video games pr studying something, i find myself busy. its night time when i mostly have relapsed but im eliminating that time by sleeping earlier.

    4. got it

    5. youre 100% right on this even if its the smallest thing, thats small thing is a million times more worrh it than PMO.

    6. i have this image of myself i want to become. its hard for me to focus on it every single day, but i think i need to do hat more often. when i think of that version of me, i feel unstopable and that i will achieve that. so yes i will do that more

    thanks for your advice
