Day 56 on nofap and feeling really down and depressed

    Hi guys,
    I'm currently on day 56 and for the last 1 week , I'm feeling really down , low energy at the gym , feeling depressed and bored all the time. Nothing is really interesting.
    It's like I relapsed and feel like how it was when I used to be addicted.
    Feeling totally de-motivated and down. Not able to focus for more than 30 mins .
    What do I do? Just feeling really low.

    Idk. Maybe someone else does. Just know I am clean and feel dead inside and out. Hope keeps me standing.

    Let me try to be more optimistic actually. That was a pessimistic thing of me to say.

    If I were truly feeling dead, how did I type that? Nonsense.

    So I say find something to make you feel hope. Be it a new friend, hobby, or brainstorm ideas with replies or wait for advice from others.

    A song and a saying that I could use right now for my own pain and dis-ease,

    could it be that the feelings that I have supressed using porn all these years are coming out after 50 days?
    What do I do about this? Have stopped working out because I'm feeling heavy hearted pretty much all the time. Do I need to visit a psychiatrist? Feeling really depressed .
    I was really looking forward to start the new year with a bang , but this seems to be going exactly in the wrong direction.

    How long have you been clean? Are you staying away from pmo? or just porn?

    It could be any number of things, thats something you will need to do some introspection to find out, but if I can say anything with certainty its that stopping working out wont help you, it will in fact make it worse as you wont be getting the endorphin release that exercise would normally give you. I would advise you read a thread I posted a short while back where I had a similar issue, (https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.p...e-my-depressive-symptoms.144315/#post-1173283) it took me a long time but I eventually realised that the core problem I had WAS caused by PMO, now this may not be the case for you but its worth thinking about.

    Haha my friend this is just the start. I have had streaks with over 200 days and i will tell you one thing. Do not let you mind get the best of you. Everything is mental. You will feel good one day shitty the next. The brain is rebalancing itself and it will have is off days here and there. Just recognize when it happens and put urself outside of it. There is a shining light at the end of this tunnel but you only wil reach it if you keep going trough what feels like hell! No guts no glory brother.

    Maybe you don't have a wanking addiction, you know the funny thing is people always say nofap will cure anxiety and bad self confidence when in fact that's just bullshit there are 100s of possible causes for anxiety low self confidence and all the other problems people balme on wanking.

    yes, there are a lot of extroverts who don't suffer from these and still watch porn and masturbate.
    I think no pmo saves time, improve your liking towards women and keeps u hard.
    Other stuff are just placebo effects.
     
  10. Flatline? 56 days may seem like a long time, but it’s not really when trying to reverse those pathways that are physical and real. Just throwing that out there. Especially if you’re long time user or heavy user
