That’s masturbation & porn, not sex. Also I’m sure those studies were done on people who don’t masturbate in excessive amounts like the people here. Too much of anything is bad. That’s common sense, you don’t need a scientist to tell you that.

Never once in the Bible does it say that sex is only for procreation. Sex within a heterosexual marriage blessed of God has, in fact, been taught as a way to avoid the sin of adultery, as well as a source of comfort. This is a common teaching that has been lost in some sects of Christianity; they turned something that's appropriate for husband and wife into something that's evil unless it produces a baby, much like "eating the forbidden fruit" in a sense.

Read up on Proverbs 5:15-19 and 1 Corinthians 7.

 

Your opinion on this is basically seen as pure evil on this forum.

What does the bible say about masturbation

 

No explicit references I believe, but as the Bible states that sexual activity should only occur within marriage, masturbation gets ruled out against that.

The interesting thing stated in 1 Corinthians 7:4 is that the husband and wife don't have power over themselves, but of each other. This could also directly be against masturbation, due to masturbation allowing you to have control over yourself.

I agree with you. The only reason people have so much sex today is because of contraception which is unnatural. Sure, there's natural contraceptives such as lemon juice and other methods of preventing pregnancy, but the success rate for those methods is limited. I always wondered what life was like before contraception, like my great grandfather has only been with one women his whole life and most men today can't even fathom that. Although sex isn't ONLY meant for procreating, women do have a clitoris and men have a frenulum.
