    Hey all,
I am pretty much new on here. My last thread was my new user intro.

I’m here to talk about my issues with porn addiction. And seeing who else may be able to offer some insight or similar experiences.

I’ve been seeing a lot on here about guys being motivated to start NoFap because of PIED. I can’t say I’ve ever struggled with ED, let alone due to porn. If anything I’m hard as rock before the pants are off and cum pretty quickly with a female(2-3 minutes into inter course if I haven’t had sex or masturbated in a few days to a week. I’m wondering if my quickness to cum during real sex could be PMO-induced in my case, but really not sure. I would like to learn to last longer after saving myself up for awhile ;-)

Also I see a lot about members losing valuable time with family and souring relationships due to time spent engaging in PMO. It’s true that on average I have engaged in PMO 3-4 times per day for the past 10 or so years, but I do it in my private time, and can’t say I miss out on much time with friends and family.

THE REASON why I am happy to be here is that I am realizing a direct link to my PMO and chronic anxiety/depression, mind fog, lack of motivation, and low self esteem that I have basically suffered from since regularly engaging in PMO for the past 10 or so years.

So just looking for any and all help and advice from people who may have come here, sat down, and stayed for similar reasons, or any advice you may have.

(note: I’m almost 5 days of no PMO since registering in NoFap and have to say the past 2 days have been awesome. Generally positive thinking and good energy levels, can’t wait to see what other benefits are to come :) )

I have a similar situation. I completed 100 days on jan1, 2018....I have more mental clarity now. I am mostly in a good mood.

I am not saying that I am totally cured...all I am saying is that I have seen progress, thanks to nofap.

I posted a thread on the topic of premature ejaculation. I suffer from that (as opposed to the delayed that many people seem to have) and although I can’t be certain, I’m pretty sure it’s at least partially caused by overuse of porn. I’m young and fundamentally healthy otherwise, yet I can barely last 30 seconds or more than a couple of pumps. Very frustrating. I think it can definitely be linked back to porn use since the overstimulating nature of porn makes it easy to cum very quickly, and if you get into that as a habit, it conditions your brain that this is the only way to cum.

Can’t say I’ve ever suffered from depression, but I have noticed a general improvement in my energy and confidence since I starred abstaining from PMO. It’s slight, but it’s helped me find the drive to try and improve other aspects of my life, which I hope will help create a positive feedback cycle. So I would definitely say that it can help with depression. Just be prepared to have some ‘bad’ days and know that they will pass.

I really am on the same boat as you, as I too think I didn't miss out anything due to PMO. All these horror stories that come up here, well, I'm glad I'm not the one telling those. Although I'm not porn addicted, my streak is really really easy, but I guess I was/am addicted to masturbation. I could masturbate without P without problem.
I'm here for the same reason as you: chronic anxiety/depression, mind fog, lack of motivation, and low self esteem. I hope PMO is the reason behind these problems and if not, well we definitely did something good to ourselfs. At least we can look back and say: well I managed x days and am proud of it. All in all it is a transformation that we are about to experience, and by god, I like it ;)
