Why do I keep doing it? Is it that I don't want to quit? Or that I am too lazy?

    Day 0 again.

How can I make a change this time around? It's destroying my life! But I have an addiction

Identify what made you give in, so you will be ready next time it happens. Relapsing sucks, but once it has happened you have to use it to make yourself stronger.
Resisting the urges is not just about willpower, you have to become smarter than your addiction, smarter than yourself!

    You can do it.

Take it easy bro. Don't beat yourself up.
This is a process and it requires baby steps. Just try harder next time.
And like Gaspar said: try to identify what triggered the relapse, and avoid that.

Also, do youself a huge favor and get a copy of "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olson.
    You can thank me later.

Thanks for your advice. I definitely need to get smarter about this.

Today is a fresh start. You are right it is a process of many small steps. I will keep note on my journal of the progress.

  6. You already made good progress in the past, so don't worry, you already have established the "tools" in your brain, you just need more time to "get used to using them".

My first advice is to focus on the things you want to do. On your work, your hobbies, your family, your friends.

So: Don't focus on "not fapping" instead, focus on GOING FORWARD, and you will automatically lose interest in fapping; you will lose even interst in many more "time wasters", like facebook, society chit-chat, etc.

The overall idea is to establish a new kind of behaviour and a new lifestyle. It takes A WHILE -- months and years -- until this behaviour really changes. In the beginning, you need force and strength. But after a while, the new behaviour becomes more and more natural to you.

You did it because you're human. Porn is a really hard thing to quit.

Yes, I've discovered this the hard way. It's crazy. You can have all the determination in the world, you get a few days in, and then - bang. All you can do, I guess, is learn from the experience.

I think we just have to be more positive about it.

Focusing on other things rather than on not fapping really helps. It takes your mind off the battle and makes you realise what you could be doing with that time instead.

One small step at a time. Today was good, but I have to be wiser than I was in the past in how I deal with any urges or triggers.

Pmo wastes so much energy. It stops us from using that energy for other things!
