What do you do when urges come to you?

    I really want to know your ways to fight urges when they come to your mind, what do you do in order to calm down and stop thinking about PMO?

    Long term, you should replace the amount of time you used to spend fapping, with something productive and/or meaningful. Building a hobby, studying something new, etc. Is there anything you've always been interested in but never got around to?

    Short term, you should develop a kind of knee-jerk reaction that will help kill that urge. Like push-ups, jogging around the block, reading a book, etc. An activity away from your computer/phone/porn device!

    Remove yourself from the situation. If you're on the computer, get off ASAP and clear your head. 9/10 you will calm down and your reasoning will come back. If you're in public, well there's not much you can do, but it's not like you can relapse right there and then. Computers are dangerous.

    Honestly heres what I've read from somewhere

    "Urges are like a badge of honor if you fight through them thats amazing,"

    "Think of any man you admire he's probably not gotta to 90 days without Pmo,"

    Something to think about but tell yourself that its what your brain wants it and not you; and the feeling of being turned on isn't so bad I kind of like it so I think why would I want to get rid of this feeling. But don't put yourself near anything that will support it just stand up and go outside get into the habit of it even when the urges are small so when they are big you are ready

    When urges come, I just stop for a moment to remind myself why I started Nofap and why I have to continue.
    If I still feel them, I try to distract myself writing, studying, drawing, doing something different than staring the search bar in my browser. Avoiding loneliness is also great, urges will go away in a second if
    you spend time with someone. And I really think that watching motivational videos helps too, youtube is full of them.

    Run. Run far, run fast. Wears me out and provides a real mood booster. After a good hard run all cravings/urges are gone for a few hours, and when they come back they are never as strong. I think this is in part because of the empowering experience of having said "no" to a relapse and gone running instead. I also like the idea that this helps rewire my brain and get it used to the idea that PMO is no longer an option.
