Think about your goals and then decide if instagram is supporting them or not. The choice is yours!

 

I think that it's too much but it really depends on your situation.

I think insta leads me down a slippery slope...

Also, I look at insta...deluding myself that I am looking innocently...but in my heart of hearts I know what I am hoping to see.

Bottom line,I stay away from,insta...

 

These small triggers can be quite dangerous if you ask me. I always relapse due to a small triggers. Better avoid it

I mostly use instagram to see pages about cooking or funny vines. Its true one can access porn here, but as long as I dont do it I should be fine.

If I ever find myself trying though I will have to delete it.

Quit all forms of social media. Read about their dangers on the internet, they harm your self-esteem and serve you nothing. It makes you envy others and it's just a place for advertisements and money for it's operators, you are just a consumer.

Use chat-only platforms, like WhatsApp or only stick to Messenger, etc.

I have stopped using FB since 2 yrs and I missed nothing.

Instagram and FB is just a Psub, it's full of women posting half-nudes and sexual suggestive pictures. You don't learn wisdom or anything useful on FB, all those "be positive" quotes are a bunch of vague bullshit that has no application in life.

 

Instagram is the open door to multiples triggers.
you should leave every social network that could lead to triggers.

 

As others have said on here it's up to you on what you want to do with social media. Social media can be a good thing if you know how the algorithms work. Instagram will let you see pictures that you've liked before or it will put pictures in the discovery section based on who you follow and pictures you've seen. It's the same for Facebook (Facebook owns Instagram so they're similar in the setup, but don't quote me on that).

If you feel it's tempting you too much to break the urge, then I would agree with you and getting rid of it, at least until you have more control over yourself. But just know that any form of communication, whether it be through social media or any other medium, will tempt you.

 

That's what I say. IG isn't worth it, not necessary. And, every time I experiment with putting those things back into my life I realize I'm drifting into not good material and basically have sworn off certain things. If it's only on the PC at least it's not with me all the time like a phone would be. @2525 has a thread about a technology break because so many of us have taken 1 too many fall from a peek of something inappropriate that triggers or creates urges we'd just rather not face.

 

I quit or at least took it off my phone. You can unfollow every insta-hottie who is all about sexy pictures. Otherwise it’s a very slippery slope. Suggestive and sexy pictures are sometimes more exciting than hard core porn.
