Day 100 - Capturing the Mind from Parasite Control

Discussion in 'Success Stories' started by noonoon, Feb 9, 2018.

PMO is a parasite feeding upon our mind and soul. A parasite invades in its tiniest, most innocent form. As it feeds upon the host it grows in strength while the host diminishes.

And this is what happened to us. At first it was innocent fantasy. Maybe MO now and again. But then, we discovered porn. With limitless feeding, The parasite grew and grew and grew and we weakened. Eventually, we began to notice our thinking became compulsive. we found ourselves concerned. We sensed the parasite but didn’t know how to stop it. Urges and thoughts seemed to come from “outside” ourselves. the desire to feed on porn became irresistible. Fantasy took over our minds and we lived no longer knowing what was real. Some of us us became so lost in fantasy we no longer knew if we liked men or women. Some were so well enslaved that they were compelled to search for porn that horrified them.

These are our chains, the jail cell in which this parasite controls us. Once we’ve been immersed in the PMO fantasy life long enough, the parasite completely takes over, controls us through fantasy, isolation, dispare. This cycle is how the parasite continues to keep us enslaved. For me, I became crippled with anxiety and fear, and isolation. PMO was my cure to all that. Or so I thought. The reality is that I was merely feeding that very thing which caused my crippling!

There is only one way to fight this parasite: starve it. Limit its food. As the parasite weakens our mind strengthens. At first we can only fight by sheer will power as the parasite still has Our mind under control. As we avoid pmo, the parasite floods our mind with porn fantasy. We find if we endulge in that fantasy the parasite gains strength and we weaken. So we learn to say “no” to porn fantasy. As the parasite weakens further and we strengthen we discover other parasitic strongholds, other ways it feeds...
    —————-

And this is where I am today, on my 100 day of nofap!! Still fighting the parasite. It is greatly weakened and I am much, much stronger. As a result I am much happier and far less anxious. My control over my own mind is growing strong. I can say “no” to porn fantasy and it flees. “No” to my lustful desires and they flee. The revelation I wanted to share with you all - in addition to celebrating my 100 days NoFap with me! - are the two other parasitic strongholds I found. These are not P strictly speaking, but for me they are the bastard offspring of my P use. I call them “worry porn” and “WTT Porn”:

Worry Porn - Fantasy featuring me in various negative social or work related situations.
WTT Porn - ”What They Think” fantasy in which I read minds or interpret behaviors. Usually it is a rerun of a social situation and i guess what others think about me.

I am now strong enough to say “no” to these thoughts as well. And it has been such a relief! When I start thinking these types of thoughts I tell myself “you have no right to think about these things just as you have no right to think about porn”. Well, put more simply, I just say “no” and the thoughts flee.

    That parasite is crafty.

    Vigilance is Victory. Fight on!

  3. Congrats to you!

You are very focused and determined, with a no non-sense attitude, and that's why you are where you are, and why you'll continue to succeed, if you maintain that attitude.

  9. Sorry for the sidenote, but every time I see your name it reminds me of the Office Episode where Michael wears a women's suit to work and the brand name is MISSterious.

I am so happy that you are beating this addiction and combating your social anxiety. The first part of your post describes me to a T. I hope one day to have the social confidence and clarity you do.

    Be
What an inspiring story! I'm really happy that you have made so much progress.

I think it's absolutely fascinating (and extremely observant) what you say about "Worry Porn" and "WTT Porn." As soon as I read that part of your post, I immediately recognized that these two "bastard offspring" of porn have had a stranglehold on my life as soon as I got into (regular) porn when I was about 15. The good news for me is that after 65 days of no PMO, I'm getting stronger and my worries and anxieties (Worry Porn and WTT Porn) are getting weaker, very similar to what you've experienced.

    Keep up the good fight!

Interesting read. Makes you think how many other offspring there are. I have seen connections to the PMO but haven't considered it quite the same way. Congrats on 100 days and lets keep going! I am a bit past 30 days and in a 90 day challenge. I will post when I hit 100 as well.
