How long have ya all been stuck in this malady!! I have been in PMO mode for 45 years! Over half a lifetime! The pain and sorrow have become almost unbearable. Maybe the thing that has kept me stuck was not having a Painful Bottom! I could always just go get spiritual and search for God after every fall! I am also addicted to spirituality. Always seeking and never finding! Still married. 29 years. 3 great kids, grandson, good income, BUT sadness, depression, worry, fear, sorrow are almost at an unbearable level. Time to do whatever it takes. So much to Gain and Everything to Lose!!

I PMOed for 14 years. One thing that really helped me was meeting men who were in their 60's and 70's who were still PMOing. I did not want to be an old man still PMOing.

I want to be a recovery tale instead of a cautionary tale. Those men were really helpful to me; it takes courage to keep coming back to recovery even later in life.

  5. Hello Jayhawkster,

    welcome to the club!

It's never too late. I'm 42, and I was addicted for about 26 years. But during THIS year, I made the significant step out. It really works, and there is a great new life outside waiting for you!

    My quick advices to you:

    1. Set up your mind. Focus on the THINGS YOU WANT. Envision a FULFILLING & MEANINGFUL LIFE, where PMO has no more place at all.
    2. Once you have setup your mind: START. And write a journal, on a daily basis.
    3. Go forward into a new life, and NEVER LOOK BACK. You go forward into a new life, and PMO is not an option anymore. No way back. No "Plan B".

Currently you are sitting in a boat which is bound to the port. The wind is blowing. And you deeply want to sail out to the world. So what do you need to do? Yes, you need to setup the sails, you need to hold the steer, and then you need TO CUT THE LINE.

You need to realise that pmo is not your real issue. You use it to self-medicate and deal with pain, anxiety and difficult situations. What you really need is a complete way of thinking and learning to do life and deal with challenges. Good luck
