weightlifting to support (or fight) flatlines

  1. i have hit my longest clean period in years and want this to continue

    i am worried about flatlines and the depression and the associated issues

    i have been off exercising recently, but i do like weightlifting and swimming, thinking i need to double down into these to fight the biochemical effects of the flatline?

    thoughts?

    Exercise and going to gym helps a lot, the only problem is that you have dopamine deficiency in the brain that makes you unmotivated to do that.

    I agree i have to push myself to go to the gym but ive been pushing myself really well.

    Im not sure but i have not been in a flatline yet. This could be down to the gym, or the increase in daily protein intake (currently 150g/day) i should be on more but struggle to get from foods because hotel restaraunts and factory canteen.

    But in my experience so far on day whatever it says below it is similar to playing with fire because the urges will remain with you and everday is a challenge which also motivates me to go to the gym, to keep myself busy and tired. Which also makes me more succeptable to over training.

    Lifting weights helped me considerably.

    Focus on gross movement patterns with a strong emphasis on core (thighs, abs, low and midback) and upper back to get things kickstarted.

    Squat, deadlift, high pulls, sprints and sled pushes are excellent for boosting testosterone, anyway. I'm pretty sure they were part of the reason for my short flatline.
     
  6. thats what i am hoping, i am going to focus on meditation and working out to get me through this
    got past my 10 days (massive boost for me as this has taken 8 months), and now onto 14 days, now feeling flatline but doing weights to help

    What I found with weight lifting is sometimes it was more discipline then motivation. There will be plenty of times you'll find an excuse not to do it because you're must not motivated to.
    I've had plenty of times when I didn't want to go to the gym and had to force myself to go because I thought "no, I said I'm doing this, we're doing this" and pushed through a session. You'll feel better for maintaining that routine and keeping yourself busy when you're bored.
    Keep up the good work man, like nofap always requires discipline.

  8. thanks guys, i do feel it has given me somethoing else to focus on
    bit sickly at the moment, so dont want to over do it
    but in the past when i was sick i would fap away at home, will not be doing that
