    Hi,

Was looking for some advice specifically from some of the more advanced users here with streaks 90+ days.

    Some background:

I had been on and off of nofap the past 2 years, my highest streak before the current one was 65 days. I have really enjoyed the process but lately have been questioning the worth of contuing. I have been doing hardmode, no PMO or anything and had seen a heap of benefits.

    The question at hand
My main reason for writing this is I wonder if anyone here experiances that motivation, drive and energy past 90 days. I remember around about day 50 being a the peak and feel like since then I have slowly declined. Is it worth it to keep going, should I quit now? I am half tempted to relapse just to start another streak and reap those benefits again. Do they come back if you just push through?

Has anyone here experianced this same sort of problem, if so how did you act?

I apreciate anyone who has made it this far, and would enjoy hearing any opionions on this matter.

    Thanks,

I know that currently my counter say only 40+ days so I may not be the one you want to hear your answer.
HOWEVER, in the past I have gone past 120+ days. I was at the same exact position thinking whether it was worth going on since everything was just going downwards not upwards. I was feeling very down and depressed. Don't let your brain cheat you.
I relapsed and I regret doing it.
Keep going past this, you will get better, it's only a phase!

Interesting question. You're very young, so you couldn't have developed very long lasting addiction to PMO. I'd try controlled release, maybe once a week without porn. If things get out of control (compulsive mb or porn), I'd go back cold turkey immediately.

As for me mb is not a valid option anymore. I've done +90 days hard mode twice and relapsed big time, after I tried controlled mb regime. But I've been heavily addicted for 17 years, so it might be easier for you to establish healthy release habits.

I believe PMO is not our main problem, it's just our drug of choice, "helping" us to escape our psyh problems, being depression, anxiety or something else. When you go cold turkey for +90 days, you bring this problem to the surface and that's why you feel down. You should try to discover what led you to start with compulsive PMO behavior in the first place or you're very likely relapse or develop some other form of addiction. Abstinence is only a beginning of healing. Just my 2 cents.

    Hi All,

I thought that I would update you on the situation. So as you can probably see, I still have my counter still ticking up and didn't relapse.

I came to the conclusion that every relapse I ever had on previous streaks resulted in a bad outcome, thus I said I'd see it out a week or two longer. I'm glad I didn't relapse and hope that what I'm about to tell you can assist you all with your Journey.

Nofap is great it helps with energy and overall makes you feel like a better version of yourself. My problem was that the extra energy + time I had wasn't being channeled in the correct ways. I would play video games and do **** all. You need to apply good habits to replace the bad ones, this I know for sure. I started setting goals again, listening to audiobooks and started to feel that drive again!

So please if you were in my position, fix your damn habits and don't WASTE time!

    period.
