30 days, wow!

Hi guys

Ive just completed 30 days of nofap. Im feeling proud that its a step in the right direction. One of many in my life.
Been stuck in a rut for a long time, anxious, depressed and generally frustrationed in life. 17 years with this addiction and now im 35, it was time to start taking action. Two years ago i was awakened by the implacations of porn addiction and the realization of the effects apon me. I would temper my usage from everyday to once or twice a fornight but still would relapse. Its so hard isnt it?
I came across your forum in december of last year and read all the great posts about the benefits of nofap, the courage and determination its takes to challenge yourself everyday, i knew then that i would be worth the hardship. The first 10 days were the worst, overwhelming urges, anxiety and depression and a general feeling of flatline, i started to question whether this was worth it but after gritting my teeth and pressing on, it was about day 15 i began to see changes. Increased energy, more grounded, great sense of positivity, sociable, flirtious, seeing women in greater light and a increased attraction towards you.
I wouldnt say after the 90 days that this will change my life but for me its about becoming a better version and something i can take off the wall for things i would like to change in my life, it is a step and a much needed step i needed to take. Btw theres a good phone app im using for guidence called reboot. I recommend it to begin your journey.

Im now on 40 days. My resistence is a lot stronger and im able to stay with the urges and not act on them. Some days are harder than others but its going well.

 

How many days have you gone with nofap jobbyj

 

It seems to go up and down for me, i know everyone is different. 17 years is a long time so it isnt going to be a smooth recovery, just have to be patient and remember your moving forward.

 

Near to 80 days, i have used dating sites, i have been advised not to but its just a quick scan. Probably boredom motivates that though. How are you doing?
