My First Real Attempt at a Reboot

    Hello everyone!

    I hope this finds you well and making progress with your reboots. My name is TheMuffinMan and I'm just a normal teenage kid who unfortunately fell into a few bad habits. I started watching P when I was about 10. I didn't see a problem with it so I continued watching it for 3-4 years, never consistently, just here and there. I discovered masturbation earlier this year and I added that to my P watching sessions. This seemed pleasurable and fun at first but I started to notice that these sessions were becoming more frequent. I started looking around the internet for resources that could help me with this problem. Thankfully, I found this forum and the inspiration to start a real reboot.

    My reasons for rebooting:

    -PMO obscures my view of women, turning them into objects instead of people.
    -The idea of having an activity like PMO have such a great pull on me is frightening. I want to be free of such urges.
    -Frequent MO will lead to physical problems (ED) in the future
    -I found that PMO makes me tired, irritable, and unfocused. I also loose self-confidence and become socially awkward.
    -Although I've never been in a relationship with a girl (And I don't plan on having one until I've destroyed PMO from my life and matured a bit more), I know that PMO will damage any future relationship or marriage.

    These are all the reasons I could think of off the top of my head. If I had an entire day to think I'd probably come up with hundreds more.

    My reboot, a 90 day Hard Mode Challenge:

    -No watching P intentionally, accidentally viewing it doesn't count
    -No MO, No edging
    -No ogling
    -No fantasizing

    I'm really excited to start this challenge! I'll post an update at the start of every week. I would appreciate tips that anyone might have to help me along my recovery journey. I wish you all good luck and success in your reboots!

    Hey man , welcome in this community. Did you try to masturbate without porn and without thinking of sex. If you have some problem getting up like this you probably have an ED. At the beginning of my NoFap journey i did not assumed my ED till I did that test, if you are not passing the test keep your ed as a huge motivation like it was for me to kick this habit. Im not saying you have an ED but I just want to help you because if you have one you will have even more motivation to stop ! Your lucky to know your addiction in your early teens , crush that addiction bro !

    Thank you for the encouraging words johnf! When I first started masturbating it took me very little time to reach O. Now,(before I started my reboot) I notice that it takes me longer to reach O and maintain erections. I assume that this is probably the very beginning of ED and it scares me. The thought of having ED as a result of frequent MO or PMO is a huge motivator for me to quit both practices for good. Again, thank you for your reply.

    You need to know that it is not MO that cause an ED but only the P part. Of course to quit porn it is important to stop the MO because it is so relatef to P . But after you recover it is ok to MO. Have a good day !

    So ED is caused by P not frequent MO?

    Yes it is the porn that jack ups anormally your levels of dopamine. But for the moment you need to stop MO because you have trained your brain to relate the porn and masturbation to the porn by doing these three things togheter. PIED only exist since peoples have access to high speed internet porn. Go on yourbrainonporn.com you will understand clearly.
