  4. I would much rather be in a relationship with a down to earth woman who's slept with 16 other men than be with an arrogant virgin. I think if you have a past of porn addiction you're in no position to be all self-righteous about someone who's had sex some men in her past. How can you be in a position to judge someone's values because of their past when you have a past as well? I think a virgin is going to be more judgment of a former PA than someone who's slept around a bit.

Posted this in a different thread but I'll say the same thing here:

I waited until marriage to have sex, as did my wife, and I'm really glad we both did. Now we can share that as something that is just between us, no comparisons, no worrying about past encounters or anything like that.

Plus there are other reasons as well. We never had to worry about accidentally getting pregnant, spreading any diseases, or anything else that can come from promiscuity. Honestly in my opinion, waiting until marriage is just easier.

  6. It would be true that a woman who's slept around probably would have some baggage but people can heal from their past if they work on themselves. But I've met women who are virgins and they arrogantly think they're better than anyone else because they're saving themselves for marriage. Personally, I want to stay away from arrogant virgins. I also think a woman with a past is more likely to accept someone with a past.

  7. Everything has a sense to the person that chooses something.

I didn't wait and while it doesn't bother or affect me in anyway, I do wish I at least waited a bit until I was a little more mature in some areas. Other than that I'm also happy I didn't because my life changed in ways for me.

Some wait for religious reasons and others for personal ones, virgin or not either is again just a choice and there is no right or wrong one to choose, as it's a personal thing.

    Sexual compatibility is important.

There can be a huge difference in libidos, or tastes or turn ons. Its not the be all and end all, and a successful relationship will always have an element of compromise in these things, but to claim its totally unimportant is short-sighted. Sex isn't always just about sex, its also about intimacy, sharing, being closer. Problems in the bedroom quickly lead to problems outside the bedroom.

You realise that there can be a middle ground between waiting for marriage and being promiscuous right?

Sexual compatibility is a real thing it’s important to make sure you and your partner mesh well in that department.

  10. Do you believe in marriage? That's the real question. More and more people are deciding to skip and not be bothered with it at all.

If you believe in marriage, then there is something special about getting to your wedding night and enjoying something that you share only with your spouse. If you've each had sex with 50 different people, then there's nothing at all special about your wedding night. Been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt. What else do you have to share with your spouse? Maybe the idea that you won't sleep with anyone else now that you're married? Even that notion has become strained. So, if everyone is going to sleep with everyone, then what's the point.

The natural purpose of sex is to make children; that's the whole reason why any animal in the wild does. When you see that lion on the Discovery Channel screwing a lioness for 20 hours straight, they're actually trying to make more lions. Now sex is just something that we do for fun. Wear a rubber, use birth control, abort the baby; no one's interested in making children. We're just interested in getting off. So, there's nothing special about sex anymore either. Just do it until you're tired or sore and you don't even have to like the person you're having sex with us.

And somehow, we end up here after we spent years getting off five times a day and we can't even bother to be turned on by actual people anymore. We just look up what we want on the internet and what's the point in having a relationship at all?

Nothing's sacred anymore. Nothing. We're all living Assassin's Creed "Nothing is true; everything is permitted" and every now and then, while wiping the cum from fingers, daring to ask "why am I so depressed?"

  11. I never claimed it’s totally unimportant, I claimed it’s a superficial metric to determine a persons worth in a relationship. Things such as libido, expectations, likes and dislikes in the bedroom can all be communicated and changed, and some of these will change naturally over time anyway.

  12. You’re telling me if you found a woman who was amazing in every aspect of life but sex, that you would not get in a relationship with her?

Or another instance if the woman you loved was in a horrible car accident and became paralyzed, you’re telling me you would leave her because you’re no longer sexually compatible?

  13. Basically there's pros and cons on either side.

Pros: If you have to invest in something before you get it it will hold more value to you. If you have to work hard, the payoff is sweeter. Being a virgin (female especially) historically meant that there was very few bastard children (a state currently being glamorized and accepted,) and because of the investment before sex, that the men actually had to invest getting to know a woman outside of a sexual sense. This lead to more fulfilling marriages because people had to use their big head as well as their little one, and actually fell in love. Also with marriage being the norm, men had something to work for, and applied their considerable value into improving society.

Cons: Lack of sex, not knowing if you are sexually compatible, Victorian morality, the church getting into your life.

Basically tho, a generally married heterosexual populace is extremely productive, builds societies, raises quality children who will later contribute. Men fight wars for their wives. Men build bridges for their wives. Men build/buy houses for their wives.

I totally agree that waiting till marriage is bullshit, if you have already found someone and are committed to them. Then it shouldn't matter. Sexual compatibility is very important and why not try it out before getting married?

  17. I have to echo this. So many people keep echoing the "sexual compatibility is important" line without even explaining what that means and why sex is necessary to find out if you are compatible or not. Or, better yet, what does "incompatible" even look like? Your penis doesn't fit inside her vagina?

Look, when I first got married, that was quite literally the case. By the world's standards, most people would probably say that we were incompatible, and if we had tried to have sex prior to marriage and if he was a douche bag, he probably would have just broken up with me, because we weren't "compatible." But hey, guess what, I had surgery and everything's cool now. :emoji_thumbsup: we worked on it and fixed the problem, and it took a few years, but now we are pretty dang compatitible. That's what marriage looks like. You work on stuff. And when it still doesn't work, you compromise. Sometimes even sacrifice. If you can't handle that, then you shouldn't be getting married, because that whole "in sickness and in health" bit is going to be too tough for you to stick with.

  19. So basically when if your woman is unable to have sex with you you're going to break up with her and find someone new to have sex with?

Good point, but you gotta define `unable` here.

If she has a valid reason, maybe even religious reason, I would respect that and agree to wait. Obviously, there are other factors too which define a healthy relationship and I would not push too hard. But, that gotta be one hell of a reason. :D
