I'm in the middle of a conundrum here. I just found a TV show I really like (Homeland). I just watched the pilot, and I realised that the show has occasional but fairly graphic nudity in it. The problem is, I don't want to set my recovery back. I also don't want to wait another 3 months to watch this show.

The good thing is, being 22 days in, I am easily able to avert my eyes, and hit mute. I did today, but I have a general idea of what's going on. It obviously aroused me slightly, but definitely not enough to get an erection.

So I know my problem, but I can't seem to decide where to go. I trust myself enough to keep my eyes and ears away from any arousing stimuli. Just wanted to know what people's thoughts are on this matter.

Please reply and thanks in advance

Lighten up with it and don't take it so seriouly, watch it get an erection and do nothing about it. You should know by now why your body is reacting to the images on the screen, it's not porn it's a TV show. There's nothing wrong with getting a hard on it's what you do with it that matters. If you don't trust yourself don't watch it no matter how much you like the show, because in the end it's just a TV show.:)

From how you described it, that would be an acceptable level of arousal. However, if you do get an erection, you should turn the TV off, and go do something else.

During your reboot your brain will crave for any porn you can get. Remember , porn is anything virtual that can exite you. If you still watch those thing your brain will generate dopamine , even if it is at a really low level you will just not be able to get your normal dopamine levels back because you dont give a real rest for your brain to recover. In other words to quit porn you need to quit it completely. During your reboot you will be tempted by very soft things because your brain wants desperatly some shoots of dopamine .

Like others have said, think about how your own body reacts to it.

    Ask, too:
    How commited are you?

Thank you for all your replies.

I've thought long and hard about this, and I have come to realise that I don't care about the nudity. I have learnt to overlook it. I also found that IMDb lists the exact times when scenes like that are shown, and I can simply skip it.

It is no longer a matter of my brain "tricking" me back into PMO. I have reached a stage where I can trust myself and a relapse is absolutely out of the question. It has taken a lot of effort but I have trained myself to push away triggering thoughts.

If, by any chance, I feel for one second that I'm harming myself, I will stop.

Again, thanks for all your replies.
