Thank you for this post for I really needed it today. If you have time I would be interested in learning more on Buddhism, maybe if you have some more text or a book you could point me to that would be much appreciated. I need to carve this type of thinking into my life. I believe this is what I need.

I and my life thank you for this great post.... I too wanted to cry while reading the Mistake #1 session... Yeah brother... Focus on things that matters and on Real REWARDS which come by hard work that may be associated with some frustration, pain etc. We don't need 'Tiny rewards' that deplete and destroy us. We need to live what's called LIFE facing depression, embarrassment, boredom etc. We have to face it, not run away. May GOD rescue all of us from that dreadful masturbation habit forever so that we can LIVE.

Hands down best post on NoFap i have read so far. I think i have seen too many members being obsessed about alleged "superpowers" gained from nofap, attraction, the sexual benefits and so on. While positive, its superficial i think its not the main point of nofap and 3 points brought out by TS i feel really captures the essence of doing NoFap.Thanks again and all the best to every one on this journey

I know, that this thread is from January but I just came across it for the first time. I'm not trying to be a dick but I probably sound like one anyways. So fuck it.

This thread is a perfect example for what is wrong with the NoFap community: People tell everyone what exactly they need to do in order to break this addiction for real, without having any clue themselves.

The title suggest, that you found the missing aspect or the magical solution. Reading your post supports this impression:
A reader gets the impression, that you have figured it all out. You found the solution to this addiction. You know how it's done. You know what we have to do.

But reality is different: You haven't figured it all out. Looking at your counter, I see "1 Day". How is it possible that you are at Day 2, if you have the solution to break this addiction? You found nothing. If at all, you found ways which could potentially help a little bit in the recovery progress. Nothing more.

Stop selling people your temporary ideas about this addiction as the solution to fight this addiction for good. And don't tell them what to do, if you haven't done it yourself. Repeating what other people say without testing it first and proving its effectiveness for your own life, helps noone. We read the same tips over and over and over and over again. Some of them work as far as we can tell from real anecdotal evidence by multiple people. But a lot of tips are just a repetition of things, which don't work at all for most people. They simply get repeated, because we read them before somewhere.

All of this put aside, your thread brings value to some people as we can read from the answers. So that's a good thing. But I hope you get my point. Don't tell everyone what's the ultimate solution, it doesn't even work for yourself. You're not helping with such things.

Come on man, nobody's counter represents how much they have recovered.. plus.. These aren't my words. I told ya at the beginning that i copied it from another site. You see I posted it on jan since then I went more than 2 mnth PMO free.. Then I did relapse, may be I forgot all these stuff..
Plus, you aren't forced to read either, these are opinions..
Well according to your logic if a man went 1000 days pmo free and you are seeing him next day, you'll say that he has not recovered at all.. Grow up man.. I think it's also well covered in the post that it's not your current streak that represents your situation..
For me from 4-5 times PMO in a day to may be even once in a couple of days is huge improvement..

Right to some degree, but wrong to another. If a coutner says 1 day, you can be pretty sure, that that person isn't recovered yet. Simple as that.

Nah you didn't. You wrote #copypaste, that's true. But you didn't give further explanation and you didn't link your source. But fair enough, I give you this one.

First of all, the "don't read it if you don't like it" argument is complete crap. How should I know, if I like it before I read it? Doesn't make any sense. Second, they might be opinions, but you don't sell them as such. That's my point basicially.

Huh? That doesn't make sense at all.

True, but you're missing my point. I'm not saying your post isn't valuable.

Let's say a man used to be a heavy addict.. He couldn't go past a day without PM. And he did NoFap for 1000 days and relapsed, and if you saw his counter next day, it says 1 but it's completely different from a true beginner..
May be we have different point of views about this., for you being successful at nofap seems like never resetting your counter..
