Masturbate once a week or try to NoFap and releapse every 2-3 days?

  1. I can't seem to succeed in rebooting no matter what. Maybe I should start with fapping 1 time a week until it becomes a habit? And then maybe later increase the distance between faps 1 day each week?
     
  2. Whatever you do, cut out the porn. I can't tell if you're including that or not.

  3. why cut the porn first?
     
    1. The porn is the super-stimulus that zaps the brain. The porn is the endless novelty that no live woman can match.

    2. If you cut the porn first, you will find that you want to masturbate much less. The porn is driving that desire beyond what is natural.

    3. Masturbation to memories, or to fantasy with real people, is less damaging that masturbation to porn fantasies or porn.

    4. If you don't cut the porn, you will have very great difficulty cutting back to once a week.

  5. I'm going to echo what @Immature says. Porn is the most important thing to stop as that is a stimulus which desensitises you over time, trust me on that one i was a porn user for 15 years and i ended up viewing the most disturbing content. We are all here because we have a problem with pornography and it's use and the way it affects our lives such as our emotional wellbeing, our mental health and our relationships etc. I've not viewed porn for over 3 years now but i still masturbate from time to time in order to relieve sexual tension that builds up over time, the important thing for me at least is that my thoughts are not dictated by pornography, someone elses fantasy, perversion or warped idea of pleasure. Today it is a much more natural feeling with no shame or guilt attached. it's a personal choice whether you want to continue to masturbate or not but doing it to porn is only going to make things worse
