After 95+ days of reboot, with counselling, I have come a long way. My mental symptoms are gone. Loneliness returns only during one trigger - disagreements with SO.

My physical symptoms (PIED) I am yet to verify...

Hey dude, good to hear. I had a pretty tough day dealing with my past PMO stuff and what I looked at, what I’ve done and what I think about.

My therapist had to cancel today but I’m even afraid to talk to her about it cuz of the confidentiality rules. But I hope to get some clarity on it soon.

 

What are you afraid of telling your counselor? So far I told her everything...

 

@Timjones if I am.in your situation I would still tell my counselor without getting into details to get my counselors help.

 

Good point. I guess I can still hint without saying and then divulge the details to my SAA sponsor instead, when I’m ready.

Hey, I am in a really bad situation as well and I never once contemplated suicide.

This is exactly where I was and exactly what I did 8 years ago. I thought I would kill myself. Instead I did these two things. I called a CSAT therapist and said in a shaky voice "I need help". Made an appt for 2 days later. At the end of the phone call she said to me "You took a big step today, Quinn". I did not believe her at the time. I said something like "If you say so". But she was right. I am so happy today. My life is full of joy and gratitude. God has given me more than I could ever have imagined.

Two years ago, there was a suicide in my SAA group. Left three great kids and a wife behind. We're still hurting from it. I went to his funeral. Today, I fight for people like this. I keep coming back to fight for for all of us. No one deserves to die by the hand of this evil disease. I will fight for every one us of as long as I am alive.

I am crying as I write this.

Peace to all of you in your recovery. Let us all do together what we cannot do alone.
