I'd have to agree with everyone here. Keto is great! I tried it for 3 months and lost like 15 pounds and lost a lot of belly fat. Though I will warn you, it's really hard at first when your body is only used to burning carbs and sugar. You'll get lots of headaches and you always feel hungry, but when your body gets the hint to start burning fat, you'll feel amazing and you will hardly feel hungry. Speaking of which, I need to get back on it.

  2. I found it fairly easy to get into a routine after I tried it a second time...the keto-flu is typically a symptom of dehydration which can be mitigated through consuming extra electrolytes. Carbs soak up water and keep you hydrated.
To quickly get into ketosis I'll do a heavy workout the day before and keep a clean veggie heavy diet with cucumbers and some fruits and maybe fish. Next day will be a dry fast...maybe have just a tea or small coffee and light workout. The caffeine helps suppress food urges and gets me alert. By the end of the day should have flipped over to ketosis. Next day after start a full keto diet in ketosis and feeling great

  3. quit the fruits. also stop eating rice and other grains.
i would suggest reading about paleo diet.

I already started with keto diet, but I checked your diet too and........ its almost the same.

I even found this picture. As you can see there is not much of a difference.

  5. Paleo and Keto are the same thing minus the starches/natural sugars. Also on Keto you can still have dairy if you wanted to, but some find it hard to track and it’s very easy to go over your fat calories. I follow paleo ketogenic diet which is simply meat/seafood/ and green vegetables. I don’t eat a lot of nuts and seeds because those are also easy to overconsume and go over your fat macro.

  6. Bingo. If you keep on top of your electrolyte intake then you will never experience the Keto flu. The main reason people experience this is because they are not tracking their electrolyte intake and so the get headaches, muscle cramps, drowsiness, and other complications.

You want an easier way? Simply restrict total carb intake to 25g per day and you’ll be in ketosis. That’s it. These dry fasts and things you’re doing are completely unnecessary.

  7. Of course if you restrict you carb intake under 25g you will get the into ketosis, however it may take a couple days. The body has the capacity stores around 2000 calories worth of carbs in the body on a typical diet, so depending it may take a few days for someone to get into ketosis. I like my dry fasts because they feel cleansing and are a great mood boost, but to each their own. Even if it is a placebo effect, I'll take it

I stopped consuming sugars and sweets a long time ago, like a half a year ago, but now I really really want a chocolate or an ice cream, I really want a snickers, is this also a part of getting into ketosis? If yes, will it last for long?! Cause my roommate got a milky way, I want to break his arm and take that sweet chocolate! Sugars are also carbs, right?

Yeah! sugar is the worst kind of carbs. As for me, I don't really have a sweet tooth so I didn't crave sugar all that much. However I did have the random cravings from time to time. Though I permitted myself to eat a banana here and there to help with the sugar cravings

  14. That's my issue with diets that are so strict. You're going to end up having a lot of cravings and feeling deprived, so whenever you stop your diet, it's going to be hard not to go back to how you were eating before, or even worse, in my opinion.

I prefer to just try my best to eat healthy whenever I can and not worry too much about it being a specific "diet." I make these really yummy cocoa oat energy ball things that are actually pretty healthy and satisfy sweet cravings, but I doubt they fit into the keto diet. There's also a good homemade nutella kind of thing that's good and sweet but doesn't have sugar in it or anything. But again, probably not keto.

Mmmmm..... yummy cacao, nutella, I want it! Crap this sugar really is like a drug, it was the same when I left tabaco, alcohol and porn. I just googled and sweets can also cause addiction, so I guess in a couple days its gonna be over.

  16. Hi man. Yes, what you’re going through is normal. Most people live a very high carb lifestyle and after a while your cells build a preference for one fuel over the other. Have you ever eaten a big junk food dinner right before bed but then woke up the next morning feeling incredibly hungry? If so this is because your body was processing the carbs but it can only use so much. It burns what you could use while you were sleeping so once you wake up your body screams at you that you need more carbs for energy by telling you you’re starving when you shouldn’t be. The good news is a lot of the physical cravings will pass with time, however, the mental cravings will still have to be worked like memories/comforts when it comes to eating and your emotions.

How are you doing on your electrolyte intake? A lot of people in the group I’m in have found tha having a pickle actually helps with their sugar cravings as well as the electrolytes in pickle juice. Obviously dill pickes are the best choice.

Another thing you can look into are sugar free candies made with sugar alcohols. I don’t recommend this approach really because unhealthy food and unhealthy eating habits pretty much go hand in hand, but amazing things have been made in these areas. Just make sure to count your carb intake with them and to not eat too many of them, since too much sugar alcohol can cause you to piss out of your ass. One funny instance of this happening can be found with the Haribo sugar free gummy bear reviews. If you need a good laugh then google it.

The point being is that keto when it boils down to it isn’t really that restrictive. It just feels that way because a ton of easy and quick meals are made of carbs.

If you get a chance also look at the documentary Magic Pill on Netflix. As someone who was vegan for four years it took a little bit of time to get used to keto but now that I’ve made the switch I’m incredibly happy with it, so I hope the same for you.

The optimal diet consist mostly of sugar, with plenty of animal protein, salt and saturated fat.

I think it might be over. I dont want anymore sweets, I am not that hungry, I eat from smaller plates and I feel full. Also my energy level is back along with my ability to focus. Everything is normal now, except this feeling that I sometimes have that my mouth smells bad and my shit is always green for some reason (maybe green vegetables), but its cool, at least I can enjoy my favourite colour while taking a dump.

  19. The mouth odor is normal and will go away with a little time as well as any body odor. I used to keep some Wrigley's 5 Peppermint gum available, just in case. The shit thing takes a little time. You'll find that after a while you will crap less because you're not eating crap.

There is no "diet" that will work universally.

This is coming from someone that works with clients on a daily basis. Understanding your own body and how you react to certain foods is crucial to making long-term progress.

Also, I would COMPLETELY disregard anyone that gives you advice about completely getting rid of carbs and going Keto.

Keto has its uses, but it is not optimal for gaining muscle. You NEED carbs to gain muscle and to keep making progress in the gym.

The problem lies in people not understanding that not all carbs are not equal and that you can indeed strategically use rice, potatoes, etc.

    Proof:

    Now-min.jpg

200 Lbs, cca 10% bodyfat and yet I eat around 400 Grams of "Carbs" everyday. Oh hoh ! I thought carbs made you fat !?

What is that saying on the Internet ? LOL

Also, keep eating the meat, you need it for your hormones !
