Hey everyone, I've been having some terrifying thoughts today. I suffer from porn induced ED. It fucking sucks. I wrecked a relationship before I even knew about this condition, and recently couldn't stay hard with the most smoking girl ever. Even though I'm crazy attracted, and hard at the start it just goes away. I know my porn use has taken a hold of me, and needs to stop, but at only the 6 day mark I'm wondering if I will ever be normal again. I'm an attractive young man, and feel with some confidence I can get any women I want, but after these experiences I'm shell shocked. I need to straighten myself out before I attempt to be with another women. So my question is how long does this take? Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this? And how long was your recovery? I need this to end. I need a women in my life. I'm so sick of being alone.

It's funny that you say you're so sick of being alone... maybe you can use this to develop and work on yourself. I find myself enjoying my company for the first time since starting NoFap.

I also suffer from PIED and ED caused by nicotine.

In that regard, you're not alone.

For your reboot from porn and masturbation? About 90 days is a good average. For some it doesn't take as long as 90 days, and for some it will be longer. It depends on:

    1) Your age
    2) How long you've been addicted to porn/ masturbation
    3) The severity of your addiction (ie the sort of porn you were looking at, how often and for how long)

If you are young with PIED, I'd say longer than 90 days... But see how you go.

I suspect it will take me longer than 90 days for a full reboot but who knows...

  4. I'm taking the first 90 days as a test for self improvement but I would like to rid myself of this addiction forever

  5. Keep in mind that the PMO addiction has a ROOT and a CAUSE.

In fact, the addiction is a way to escape from important decisions, it is a way to cope with fears and doubts. The addiciton also appears when you are not balanced.

Therefore, find a meaning in your life, look out for own goals, focus on your goals, focus on dealing with fears, focus on being a balanced person.

Hey man, I feel your pain. Same scenario happens for me and it totally sucks. I, without a doubt, know this shit is a direct result of my total overuse of porn. I'm on my sixth day as well and wonder if I'll ever be normal too. My fiancé would have a heart attack if she even knew a tenth of the depths of my addiction. Regardless of what people say, no way she's finding out either. I really think this is an important step we've taken by being on here. I know it has been for me and its only been less than a week. Hang in there and although the journey will be brutal eventually it will only get better.

I worry about this too. I think 'what if I've screwed up my sexuality forever?' and it is horrible. But you have no way of knowing. The only thing to do is to try the reboot, quit porn and invest in healthy relationships of all kinds. Hopefully the brain can heal and things can be forgotten and we can move on...

I think about this sometimes, but let's do our job and reboot first!

It can delay 3 months, one year, it doesn't matter, just keep fighting and strong.

The win will be sweet, and it's coming in our way.
