    Hi there,

Last night I was masturbating in my dream. It almost became a wet dream but fortunately I woke up before orgasm. I remember I was not consuming pornography during the dream, just masturbating in my bed. The question is: shouldn't I be aroused by more exciting sexual fantasies rather than masturbation? Should I give this dream a psychological meaning? Why did my unconcious brain choose to dream about masturbating instead of, I don't know, having sex with a girl? Just so confused right now.

my perspective on it is that dreams are dreams, and translating them into direct advise for life is tricky. It could just be that masturbation is so familiar to you, that it's easier for your brain to come up with that than a woman or even a porn video. It could also be that you were approaching the one month mark, and that had you thinking about masturbation even more than sex. So it might not be about what's arousing to you, but about the challenges you're dealing with.

I wouldn't worry about it either way. I've had wet dreams about masturbation, beautiful women, ugly women, nothing sexual at all where I just dream that I ejaculate, etc. I've never had a gay one, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happens. The unconscious mind is a funny thing. Take some comfort in the fact that this is your brain taking steps to heal itself, and your continued discipline is making that possible.
