I once read an article on circumcision and the author mentioned he had a friend who was cirumcised as an adult. The friend compared having sex before and afterwards like watching a movie on a big-ass plasma tv and on your mobile phone in black-and-white respectively.

So how many of you are circumcised and how severly do you suffer from lack of sensation in your penis?

The majority of males (2/3) have a natural uncircumcised penis. Some say that after circumcision they experienced less sensation, but others claim it is the same or improved.

However, my impression is that the far greater number experience less sensation. I know in my case that my foreskin is very sensitive indeed. It is hard to imagine that it could be chopped off and afterwards I would enjoy the same level of penile sensation overall (or even greater).

I haven't got the research to hand but, the nerve endings throughout the foreskin number in the region of 20,000. After a foreskinectomy (not sure if that is a word, lol), many circumcised men literally bang their partner like a jack hammer during intercourse. Kinky sex notwithstanding, this type of brutal penetration is invariably unpleasant for their partner.

It seems that those with a foreskin do not need to do this in order to feel pleasurable sensation in their penis. Consequently, they can more gently 'make love' to their partner as they receive immense pleasure from the touch of their foreskin on or inside their partner.

I am cut and I have amazing sensation in my penis.

  4. I find circumcision extremely distasteful and a mutilation of the male body. I don't care who this opinion upsets, I find it very distressing that boys are put through this without choice at a young age and it disturbs me that men contemplate it as adults. There is nothing to gain by it.

It has been proven that a circumcised penis loses a certain level of sensitivity compared to that of an uncircumcised.

I agree 100%. The fact that proud new parents can be handed their perfect baby boy and they would say, "can you chop a bit off", it is disgusting to me! How sadistic!

Regardless of whether someone is circumcised or not, doesn't make any difference to those of us that have already been circumcised without choice. So I don't really get "angry" over it. And that really wasn't the point of this thread.

But since we're on the topic, there are health benefits of circumcision:

    • A decreased risk of urinary tract infections.
    • A reduced risk of some sexually transmitted diseases in men.
    • Protection against penile cancer and a reduced risk of cervical cancer in female sex partners.
    • Prevention of balanitis (inflammation of the glans) and balanoposthitis (inflammation of the glans and foreskin).
    • Prevention of phimosis (the inability to retract the foreskin) and paraphimosis (the inability to return the foreskin to its original location).
    • Hygiene

So it's not all for nothing. And it doesn't really matter what parents choose to do with their children. It's none of your business.

That is essentially no different to a whole load of stuff that might happen in other parts of the body. Parents could say, well let's take out his appendix as a prevention of appendicitis, or let's take out his tonsils in case he gets tonsillitis. Oh yeah, let's do an adenoidectomy. In fact, why don't we remove his toes just in case he cannot be bothered to wash between them and they smell or he gets athlete's foot.

    Please!

Wow. They are completely unrelated things. This is middle schooler mentality. I have nothing against your view on the matter, but the hatefulness is entirely unwarranted. I don't consider myself "mutilated" either.

My parents had me circumcised shortly after birth. I am not angry just disappointed with their decision. My parents like many new parents often do asked theirs for advice. My grandfather told my parents of his severe phimosis and how much it hurt when he was 14. He was circumcised in the early 40's to treat this issue. They had me cut to save me from the potential kind of pain my grandfather had to go through. My disappointment is from their decision to not get all the necessary information from medical professionals and go by what could happen and 40 year old medical treatments for issues with foreskin. Currently I decided to take charge of my body and stretch a fauxskin (foreskin restoration). Luckily for me I was cut loosely as a baby and never needed lube for PMO. The little bit of stretching I have done has allowed my skin to roll over my coronal ridge when sitting criss cross on the floor. Hopefully soon my skin will roll over my coronal ridge while standing.

I don't really see any problem with it. If you were circumcised then that's all you know. I was circumcised and the head of my penis is the most sensitive part of my body. It's whatever. Why discriminate. It's gotta be a lot cleaner. Better looking too lol.

I don't understand the discrimination either. The sensitivity factor has also been wildly inflated with baseless studies from 70 years ago.

I agree completely that the fight about sensitivity is silly. I think the big issue is ownership of one's body. There's plenty of arguments both pro/con circumcision, that really overall is just annoying.

Yes. I agree it's an issue.

So Nu-Life2014, are you saying that those who believe that routine circumcision is unnecessary, discriminate because you are in a minority? I accept that if you are not going to wash properly then being cut will be a lot cleaner. However, I respectfully disagree that having part of the penis cut off makes it look better.

Oh whatever bro. I'm not getting caught up in some dick argument. Maybe I shouldn't have said what I said and I apologize. But really, who the fuck cares. Snipped or not, is it that big of a deal? I don't believe it is.

  20. My brother got circumcised at age ~25 and he deeply regrets it. He says, sex is like listening to music in mono now.

On mself, my frenulum (the litte skin on the tip) was removed, also around age 25. And I even miss this. I have clearly lost a little nerve sensation. But the foreskin was far too tight, it really hurt during intercourse.

    My overall opinion:

    1) Cirumcision on a child IS A CRIME , except there is a clear medical indication.
But be aware that even many doctors have no clue. If a doctor tells you that your child needs to be circumcised, then it is very likely that it is not necessary.

    2) Circumcision should only be done on adults to their free will, but even in this case, I recommend to read a lot and to consult multiple doctors before. I visited 5 doctors with my problem of a too tight foreskin: 4 told me I need to be cirumcised, and only one said it would be sufficient to remove the frenulum. And he was right.
