I don't know what I should do ... I think I will give up ... I tried hard to beat this addiction but I guess I was really weak :( I am really confused ! ! Please help me ... I still have a will to stop it once for all but I don't know how ~

You can do it. The things that have been helping me:

    1. Making this website the first thing I see whenever I open any web browser.
    2. Reading and posting comments on this site and posting to my journal multiple times every day.
    3. Keeping my bedroom door open when I'm home.
    4. Wearing a rubber band (or similar thing) around my wrist and snapping it lightly whenever I have a sexual thought, start fantasizing, or have a desire to look at porn or masturbate.
    5. Installed K-9.
    6. Read articles on yourbrainonporn.com
    7. Check my counter throughout the day and coach myself to get through the next hours until the counter clicks to the next day.

    Wish you the best!

Welcome it will be difficult at first, no one says it will be easy, but you can do it. It will be at the front of your brain for awhile. KrmGrn gave really good advice. This is how we all start. Read and learn all you can about the pit falls off porn, why it's unhealthy, what your triggers are. For me, I exercise and read the journals also. I post in my own journal, and never take my cell phone or pad to the bathroom or where ever else I may be alone.
I know you can do this,
    Cheers

Whether you give in to your urges or not is all in your head. You can resist the urge to masturbate, you can resist the temptation to look at porn. You have to push through the strong urges for this challenge to get any better.

JUST DON'T GIVE UP! You failed once? Get back up and try again! You tried hard but urges got the best of you? GET BACK UP AND TRY HARDER!

For me anyway, abstaining is all about building a strong mindset so that when an urge hits you, you have the willpower to not give in and outlast it. I have set up my own rigorous self improvement program to build a strong mindset. You can read about it here:http://www.nofap.org/forum/showthread.php?24286-NoBrainer-s-November-Journal

Also no-one said this would be easy. But it is possible. You just have to go through the tough times and outlast the urges. This is all summed up in this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3MxMfzWfbE I found it when I had hit rock bottom myself and was feeling utterly helpless as well.

    All the best man :)

If you can catch your thoughts when you see women in the street and think of something healthier this habit over time will be of great benefit.
Saying something to yourself like "it's just a girl", "doesn't she have a lovely smile" or "she looks like a nice person" and "I wonder what kind of hobbies she has" are all things that will help out.

If your instead putting the girl on a pedistule and thinking sexual things every time you see her than it's going to be a lot more effort for you :D

    good luck brah

    Killua1,

You're not alone. I suffer from the same problem. Some people have a powerful enough willpower to overcome PMO, some don't. I'm one who doesn't.

When I would come across some suggestive image online, I could not call to my mind with any kind of force all of the reasons and motivations for not looking at it. My willpower would be hacked. Even worse, when I did stop PMOing, life became unbearable. I was restless, irritable, panicky, paranoid.

Everyone on this forum has different perspectives and different paths, and that's great. My sobriety is not because I have awesome willpower. I have willpower in some areas, but when it comes to PMO, I have no willpower to stop. I needed a power greater than myself. For me, it's been counseling and a 12 step group.

    Hello there,

I suggest you try out this hypnosis video on YouTube for overcoming porn,

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_gXLbOUwPI

I listened to the video several times and I feel it has helped me greatly,

I hope it will be of use to you also :)

I suggest you lie down in your room, listen to it with ear phones, let the lighting be light and relaxing (or just dark)

    enjoy ^^

Have you considered trying to find a Sex Addicts Anonymous group in your area? As a recovering sex addict I can attest to how helpful the program can be.

I can not tell you that the battle will be an easy one to win. But can tell you that you can not fight it alone. You need to use all the tools available to you including this website. But it will be easier when you can actually sit down and talk about your addiction with others fighting the same battle face to face.

Above all don't give up just because you failed. Pick your self up, learn from the failures and start again. And remember there is always strength in numbers!

For information on SAA follow this link: https://saa-recovery.org

I wish you luck my friend.

  10. Hello "Killua1",

some of my hints (I have made big progress and these are my personal experiences!)

    - don't "kill" ... make peace ...

    - Go in little steps. Make small goals. One day without PMO. Two days without PMO.

    - Focus on GOALS. Focus not just on "NoFap", but instead, focus on the things you really WANT.

    - Focus on being BALANCED. There are three main keys:
    1. Connect to people
    2. Do productive and usefuil things, anything which is fulfilling yoiu
    3. Keep your body in balance .- sports, good food, enogu sleep, avoid alcohol, smoking, drugs

Getting out of the addiction is a progressive cycle. You go step by step. Keep your goals in mind and follow them, you will see how you progress.

Always look at your goals, then the PMO addiction will fade away by itself.

Lusting real womans fine man its normal. You just needs get out of the pmo fantasies. Infact keep checking out real woman you need that to get your attention so pmo can become boring and then it will be easier to quit. Eventually after a while you can try quitting fantasising real woman but in the mean quit porn thats whats destroying your life.
