Last man standing challenge is excellent but it's 100 day challenge, I just completed the 180 day warrior challenge so that's why I'm in the 365 day challenge, it's really the next level challenge I can find out here!

From the way it sounds, this could be a long-term type of battle for you. Times like that really require a clear head, and as many of us have learned, the self-medicating route leads to pretty much the opposite of that and only adds chaos instead of serenity. It just can't lead to anything good, it's that fundamentally flawed.

So there definitely has to be some better pathway through this.

Keep trying every day to live as healthy a life as possible, in all aspects. The heaviest part of suffering is the mental part of the game. It is brutal without the right mindset, and a chronic situation can wear just about anyone down. I have taken to regularly reading from Stoic philosophy, a spoonful at a time to inculcate a certain awareness, kind of widening the gap between impulse and action, and in that space placing observation of each. This isn't about becoming a rock, but rather instilling a harmony. Try Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius, to name a couple.

Not sure what the issues are, but if a health professional may be required, obviously not all are created equal. Give it time, but don't be afraid to seek elsewhere if you can. The right fit can mean quite a bit of difference. I have seen it happen, remarkably so.

Ultimately, though, you are in the driver's seat. Keep a long term perspective in mind. Work on your tactics and strategy. As my buddy Sun Tzu said, “Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.”

Rule number one should be to never give up, period, no matter what. Believe there is a way to do this, even when it's obscure, it IS there.

It sometimes helps to think of your life like a story. You're both the author and the hero. What happens next? How does he get through this? Should it read: "And then there was self-harm. The end."? Make it interesting. I have known some people who have had some extraordinary maladies, missing fingers, quadraplegics, major spine abnormalities, you name it. Know what? Some of the most utterly amazing and cool people I have ever met. I kind of wonder, how do they do it? I wonder whether I could do what they do. It is truly amazing. The question is why not be like that? Look at some famous examples like Stephen Hawking. He could have let his disease defeat him, but instead led a very full and extraordinary life.

You had to have gotten to that point where you said, no matter what, I want to defeat this habit of P and M, ONCE AND FOR ALL! Make it happen! That is totally within your power, so make that one of the chapters in your book. The "reader" is like, "Wow, he did it! Awesome!"

Find good outlets, anything to blow off steam in a positive way, otherwise it builds like spiritual pus in a deep wound. Any type of exercise, as long as you are able, really does so much good. Get your head in the game every single day. Wake up every day and just admit it: Let's do this!!!!!

Search for meaning in life, every day. Don't be afraid to find it in really small things. Any piece you can find, grab it. It's worth more than it may seem. Having meaning in life, a man can endure ANYTHING. Check that - the quest for meaning and the belief that, even against heavy odds, it is attainable if it is not ready at hand. There is a LOT more to the picture than what may be apparent. They don't refer to it as "darkness" for nothing.

You don't see it at the moment? That means: KEEP LOOKING!

Along with meaning, find beauty. Part of seeking out things that turn ugly in our lives may actually stem from a misguided striving for beauty and the misdirected urge to find an outlet for creativity. Appreciate nature. Try calligraphy or something. I got into science and math primarily because it helped me to feel like I was immersed and basking in something intricate and beautiful.

Keep exploring, keep trying! So much to be said, but maybe you get the idea. ;)

This is not the end of the story!

I feel some of your pain - I have a family event that I have to go to roughly a week from now, which I am not at all happy about. Most of those there will be people I have not seen in many years (on purpose!). Not fun, and I would not be surprised if the stress levels start to creep up, but I definitely do not want to 'act out' before or after. Keeping an eye on things, but thus far feeling OK, thank God!

All problems are temporary brother! Don't let this rough period be the end for you but fight for it, you'll find the light at the end later on! I know health is a serious topic but there's always ways we can better our conditions. I remember I was hopeless when I was fapping everyday 4-5 years ago and never did 3 days in a row without PMO and I just did 220 days! I know you're problem may be worse than just fapping but there's still ways for you to get in a better situation. Keep the hope, Blessings!
