Sexual thoughts during

    Hey guys im 12 days in to nofap. So last night i was trying to get some sleep but couldnt because i was feeling some flatline. I could tell my brain was craving a rush of dopamoine and sexuall images and fantasies keep popping in my head (porn induced). I tried pushing them away but they couldnt. I tried distracting my self with music but it was at still there. And it come to a point where it just sat there in my mind. I could tell my brain was switching back from the rewired mind to the old (not just thoughts but feelings and emotions) i didnt fapped but i wasnt able to diivert my attention back to my rewired brain. I think i was actually able to sleep better cause of it(im not quite sure).

    Here was my sleep last night. Went to bed at 11 and had these thoughts Then i decided to take a cold shower to surpress urges. It was still there. Went to bed. Had a good sleep and woke up around 4 am tossing and turning because of these thoughts. I tried listening to music but didnt work. Went back to bed and feel asleep but but by this point my mind had enough dopamine from the sexual thoughts and intentions that i fell asleep with them in my head. I woke up feeling SOOOOO refreshed but i could tell the side effects were there but not toomuch. Anxiety, guilt and lack of motivation, low confidence. I planned on going out for a jogg today but the thought of going outside made me a little anxiouse.

    So i think these thoughts sat in my head long enough that my brain had the fix it wanted. I consider this a reset. but i wanna know what you guys think? Do you guys think its relapse or rest? If so how bad?

    I don't think it's a relapse if you were able to fight the temptations.

    I wasnt. Tbh it wasnt a temptation to fapp but a more like a sexuall plan in the future.

    I think it's normal to have sexual thoughts every once in a while, after all we're humans as long as you didn't fap I think you're doing good.

    thanks for the support. Im paranoid because i fell asleep sooo well and it could be the cause of the dopamine. I guess i gotta divert my attention.

    Try to immagine other things

    For me if that mind comes at night,, i just try imahine myself as a father and play with my son (im not married yet)

    i know it, sometimes its so bad that make u stay awake at night

    But for me i constanly goin to gym, so even tho my mind is active but my body is sore from exercise
    .so i will sleep automatically (even tho with hard erection) lol

    That sounds like you’re doing really well man, I’m at a similar stage...I’m about 6 was into reboot and getting frequent enough visions in my mind of some of the porn clips I’d watch regularly but I’m able to fight them off like you. Doing stuff as well like going for runs, reading, etc. Having these urges and not cracking can only be a good thing, we won’t have them in our minds forever...just STAY STRONG! We’re too good to let this shit beat us...
     
  8. Try finding a good book to read before bed or when you wake in the middle of the night. Some genre that holds your attention.

    When the thought comes up I guess u should get up from the bed and do few push ups ensure u get so exhausted from the exercise I guess ur mind will switch to the sleep mood after ur body becomes tired

    This is a win I think - did you had other triggers before the event of heavy thoughts like stressful day. I can correlate one to one for me some none sex triggers like stressed at work being tired or pissed off about something that I have procrastinated – you very aware already that is good but I think when being aware of the trigger before it does not hit you surprised that helps to regulate- I guess we all have to get train our self to do so – keep it up!
