    Hi guys,
This is gonna be a little bit of a long one,

I was exposed to pornography at around age 12-13 and it has controlled my life ever since (I'm almost 20). Family life was rough and I used it as an escape and it slowly got worse and worse. I began watching things that I knew I shouldn't be watching. Long story short, I want to turn my life around and become a better person.

There are some things that have really been bothering me ever since I started looking into the harmful effects of excessive masturbation and I'm wondering if it's all true and if I can recover from it.

Some forums have said that excessive PMO causes hair loss, low testosterone, and even stunt your growth(which worries me since I was going through puberty). Others have said it can go as far as lowering your cognitive abilities and overall IQ. Is this why I can't grow a full beard?

If I have ruined my body will testosterone supplements help at this stage? I'm lonely af and really just want to end it all at this point.

  2. It's definitively not too late and NO, you do not need testosterone supplements. Even if a doctor tells you that you need it, get a second and third opinion and think long and hard before going on testosterone. Once you start taking it, your body stops producing it, then you are dependent on the testosterone therapy . . . forever. Your body will tank really hard if you ever try to go off of testosterone once you start.

I, too, was exposed to porn at the age and masturbated excessively for decades. Other than a small penis, being a weakling and not having the balls to ask girls out, I turned out okay.

I wish I knew at 20 what I know now (at 43). Maybe some people tried to tell me, but I was too addicted to listen. Until my late thirties I fully believed anyone who said that masturbation is good for us. What a mistake!!

But now you know. Stop beating off, get active on this site, and keep reading up on all the reasons why masturbation is bad for you.

Before you know it, you'll be ahead of most of your peers because most of them are probably just getting started with their porn addictions.

I seriously doubt PMO causes a serious permanent drop in testosterone.

Anecdotally, I've been PMO since the age of 7 as many times as I could in a day (3x to 7x when I was younger, increasing as I got older) and I've got high T.

High T turning to DHT can cause balding if you're already genetically predisposed to it.

The PMO isn't damaging your body, it'll wreck your LIFE.

  4. That’s damn true. I started a while ago because I was a bad kid. Now I stopped thankfully. My peers are probably going to be hooked for a really long time...

I was just worried about having a beta body from all the masturbating. Hopefully i'll make a full recovery soon.

Don't take the bro-science too seriously man, that's my advice. You can make a full recovery with time and effort (ie PMO abstinence) due to the brain's inherent neuroplasticity. Go to yourbrainonporn.com if you want to find out more.

I seriously doubt excessive masturbation has all those deleterious side-effects - however, I'm sure the depression/anxiety/negative behavior associated with a PMO addiction can wreak all sorts of havoc on your health. They've certainly done so for me. I got hooked around 13-14 y.o., and been at it at least once a day, more or less (incredibly depressing, just writing that out), and all that shame and guilt and, I must add, obesity, really did a number on me/I really did a number on myself. But there's a journey toward recovery, and that's where we are! Good luck, friend.

Totally agree with the guys who answered you. The human body is wonderful. You can reverse all that dirt and become clean.

Pmo will wreck your body. And testoterone as well as other hormones are ejected when ejaculating.

Sorry in advance for my English as it is not my native language.first of all tell me do you have any sort of pain in joints or back or knees.has your memory weakened .sorry to sound like an doctor I'm asking because I'm 28 years old I started to feel worst effect of excessive masturbation at age 15 . Damaged my back in a way that I was bedridden for 5 years, still can't do any exercise or drive or do any physical activity .Doctors and medicins and supplements I have changed a tons of them.
They work but if you take them with proper care and apply no pmo .to be honest I have taken a lot of supplements but failed to apply no pmo for 13 years.yes you heard right 13 years, wasted tons of money, made my mother worry to the point that she had lost hope that I will ever lead a normal life.
Sorry to scare you but I have a lot of experience of physical and psychological problems of masturbation.i will tell about my supplements but if you read this and have time tell me little about your physical condition, any pain or laziness or memory loss .
