So I recently went on a decent streak of about 70 days but recently I've been relapsing and can't seem to go an a great streak like that again, Its really hard and I feel helpless.
I don't really post much here but I will try and be as active as I can.I want to try donating to a cause I don't like each time I relapse. Has anybody ever tried that method?

  2. 70 days is really great. Was it your first streak?
I don't think motivation by punishing yourself is a good idea. Give yourself a little time to start anew, until you feel you are ready for a new longer streak. And find a positive motivation, a reward when you've reached the first, say, 10 days.
For me it also worked to restart with a few real short streaks (5 to ten days) and then reenter a big challenge.

70 days is really a long time. I even don't have better suggestion about this.

Setting 10, 20, 30 days does not help everybody. I think in your case you should literally take one day at a time. Get through today then take on tomorrow and so on

I tried that at a point, its difficult though not trying to count how long the days have been

I've not tried the method you suggest, but I have found frequent journaling here super useful. Not only does it give you the chance to really examine yourself and your recovery, but it is a place where you can gather friends here who will support (and challenge!) you.

70 days is a great streak. You can change your focus from day counting to actually getting the most out of each day. It helps you see each step as an achievment rather than a task.
