It's a great forum and a great community of people who are struggling with this addiction but if you want to have the best chance at overcoming your addiction I recommend seeking additional sources. Especially if you've been on this site for weeks, even months, and you continue to reset your "counter" because of relapses... you definitely need more help.

    1.) Sex/Porn Addiction Therapist
Find one in your area, don't be shy, don't be scared. I seeked out a therapist 2 months ago and I've never looked back. Yes they can be expensive but the results and the progress I've reached is priceless. They are professionals who have heard hundreds if not thousands of secrets and issues from people struggling with this addiction and can give you the specialized help tailored to you.

    2.) Group Therapy
My Therapist leads group therapy once a week at his office which was another huge help. It is much cheaper than individual lessons. You will get the group support you get here on nofap.org but 100 times more. The therapist leads the discussion and there is a strong bond that grows with the other members as we are open and honest with each other on all aspects of our addiction and how it's affected our relationships.

    3.) SA Meetings (Sex Addiction)
SA meetings are held all over the U.S. everyday. You can find where a meeting is taking place and just show up. You'll find fellow addicts that are on the journey of recovery willing to share how they are dealing with it and how to be successful. You will find and accountability partner that will be a true buddy when you are struggling, or just need a listening ear. SA meetings follow the 12 step program which has aided all kinds of addicts become sober from their addictions.

4.) Tell your wife/ parents/ spiritual leader you have a problem
You need the people who love you most on your side. If you are married or have a gf you're reading this you're probably thinking, "I can't get caught, they can't know this about me, my relationship with be ruined." But if you're in a good relationship that will most likely not be true. My therapist told our group 75% of men who disclose the addiction to their significant other stays in the relationship. There are 8 men in my group therapy and all are still married. My wife found out about my addiction 90 days ago and I've never been more scared in my life. It's been a long and difficult road but we are getting thru in and out relationship has never been stronger. Don't be afraid to test your love... You may be surprised how strong love actually is.

So I'm not knocking down nofap.org at all. It's a great first step at learning and realizing you do indeed have an addiction. But it may not be enough. It wasn't enough for me, who's been addicted for about 15 years not skipping so much as a week for PMO now 90 days clean.
Keep up the good work everyone!

It use to be nofap.org, now it's nofap.com. Either way you type it, you will still get to nofap.com

#4 is my solution. And I know it's what's going to help in the long run. For some people, those options aren't available, not a single one of them. But some people just one day decide to change, and can do it.

Everyone will find their own way in time. Just take care of yourself.

By the way, not sure if everyone is aware, but there is also www.nofapacademy.com

Alexander and Mark Q. of SSP have been putting together an e-course that will be available at the academy site I believe, in the near future . Cool stuff.
